He's just a hoot!  Here's a fun image from Sweet Pea stamp artist Sandra Caldwell. This fun guy is called Hoots a Gentleman.  How fun is that?!?  He's just too cute and make's a great fall theme card. Below I added some great ribbon that's metal with woven fiber and eyelets.  I picked up a couple colors of that while in Istanbul many years ago.

Here's a close up of the image that I colored using Copic markers.  Be sure and check out all Sandra's images at Sweet Pea, but please hurry, as Sweet Pea will be closing soon!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Jane presents Lucy by Sandra Caldwell

Morning folks, hope you are having a great day so far :) :) Today I am sharing a card I have made using Lucy by Sandra Caldwell.  I first coloured the image with Polychromos and Promarkers.

Next I decided to go with dotty paper hahahaha, well this lovely lady does look rather dotty to me. To some of the red and white dotty paper I coloured the white spots black, me in a dotty spotty mood rather liked the idea of creating two design papers from one and the colours matched up perfectly lol.  The sentiment is a rubber stamp I have which I stamped onto one of my spotty dotty mounts and then mounted this on black, three black gems.  The other two mounts were made with my two variations of the paper.  I had the perfect ribbon to go with this card for my bow and also used along with the paper to finish off the inside of the card.

I wanted this to be a belated birthday card so hand wrote an apology sentiment - Sorry I forgot which I think ties in super well with the rubber stamped sentiment.

 Ingredients :-
  • Image -  Lucy by Sandra Caldwell
  • Colouring medium - Polychromos and Promarkers
  • Dies - Spellbinders-Grand Labels 1
  • From my stash - ribbon and gems

We're off to see the Wizard....

We're Off to see the Wizard, the Wonderful Wizard of OZ....
Who doesn't have memories of this?
There's several wonderful stamp from this movie being made by artist Sandra Caldwell.  Here's a couple of cards I have made recently using the Scarecrow and the Tin man

Here's one of the most adorable Scarecrow stamps!  He's is called Scarecrow Dude.  I totally love him.  I layered a bunch of wonderful specialty papers from Paper Temptress to create this fun card.  Who didn't love the scarecrow in that movie?

Here's a close up of the image, printed on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest Paper and colored with Copic Markers.  He's currently available as a digi stamp.

You know I had to add a little brain joke with this scarecrow card!  Having had two brain surgeries, I can at least laugh about not having a brain.

Here's the second of the Wizard of Oz images from Sweet Pea artist Sandra Caldwell.  Oh, how cute is this?  He's the Tin man.  This image is called Tin Can Man. I used this adorable black and white polka dot card and decorated it with hearts, just what the tin man is looking for....do you think he will find one?  well, I guess if you don't know you will have to watch the film.

Here's a wonderful close up of this adorable image, currently available as a digi-stamp from Sandra Caldwell.  Be sure and check out her other Wizard of Oz series images as well as her adorable digi-stamps.

Happy Easter!

Happy Friday everyone!  I am sharing a bunch of fabulous Easter images from the Sweet Pea store today.  You still can download a couple of these adorable cuties to make a quick and fun card before Sunday. There's a wonderful section at the store for just Easter stamps

This first card today is from artist Sandra Caldwell, it's called Lion Bunny.  This image just cracked me up. It totally brought back to memory an old Cadbury Crème Egg commercial where all these animals were dressed up like rabbits to try out for the Cadbury bunny position.  Too cute!! He's just perfect for an Easter card.

Here's a close-up of this adorable image.

This sweet image is also from artist Sandra Caldwell, she's called A Hunting she Will go.  What a cutie!  For this card I totally wanted to try and use colors that are not at all associated with Easter.  I am using beautiful shimmery Mica infused background papers and textured crepe paper in a blue and orange combo.

Here's this super adorable stamp!

Finally I have created this beautiful card using traditional Easter colors for this adorable duck by Sweet Pea artist Karen Middleton.  This wonderful image is called Easter Delivery.  I think the Easter bunny must be so very busy that this little guy is giving him a hand!

Here's a close up of this beautiful image.

I hope all of these Easter theme cards have inspired you today.  There's still a little time to download a fun image and create a sweet Easter card.  When you do, be sure and go over to the Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans page on Facebook and share your creations with us!

Cheers, Holley

Meet one of our new artists, Sandra Caldwell

Here's a super cute image from Sweet Pea Artist Sandra Caldwell.  This wonderful image is called Old Lady Love Letter.    I used a combo of red and greens on her so I translated that onto the card itself.  I hope I managed to do that without it looking anything like Christmas.  I added a simple sentiment from Cosmo Cricket "You are Loved."

Here's a close up of the image, currently available in Digi Stamp format at the Sweet Pea store!
