"It's my my birthday"♥

Hi everyone!
It's been a long time since I've had something up over here, but with a lot of thing going on in my life just now, there isn't so much time for pleasure/hobby for me, unfortunately..BUT I really hope that will change soon!;) I really miss you all♥
Anyway...Today I am sharing a card that I have made using up some of my scraps!;)
*
For this card I've used this lovely image, from Sweet Pea Stamp, by ching chou kuik's , called 'It's My Birthday',and you can find her here, alone, or together with 3 other beauties, on Plate #20
I have coloured my image with markers, Copic's off cause!;))  I have cut out my image with a rectangle nestie and backed it with a BEAUTIFUL "heart-frame" and a few other dies, from Hobby-Hagen (isn't it soo beautiful, do you think!?;D).The gorgeous papers are from Inkadikido and Bo Bunny I have used a retired die for my corners , and all the edges are being sewed with a sewing-machine-

She's soo beautiful!♥

I've been using these Copic colors:
Skin: E21,00,000,0000, R21
Hair: E57,E55,E53,E51
Dress and Wings: BG75,BG72,BG70 V12, V10, V00
Shadow: C3,C1,C00

Thank you for visiting me!! I appreciate all the sweet comments!
Wish you all a beautiful day♥!:)

Hugs, Ellen

Whimsical Holiday Mermaid

Stamp: Ching Chou Kuik's "It's My Birthday", Plate 20

One of my favorite Ching-Chou Kuik images is from the very first CCK release. It is called "It's My Birthday", and there are so many possibilities with this image. Here, I turned her into a holiday card. I thought the hanging stars looked a lot like holiday ornaments!

The background color is a vintage, patina-like color I achieved by layering my Copics in G21 and B00.

It's My Birthday

Hey it's Angela here to show you a card I created with It's My Birthday from ching chou kuik's fantasy art collection sheet #1/ plate#20. These are not colors I create with often but I wanted to try something a little different. So I went for more of a summer look. Wit all the cold weather and snow we have all had this year, I wanted something to remind me that warmer weather is right around the corner.

I hope she warms you up as much as she has me when I was coloring and creating this card. The card base itself is 5.5 x 5.5. So you can see that the orange scalloped circle(Memory Boutique) is a little bigger than a 6x6 card. But I just loved the orange color of this and was going to try to make it work. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. The image was Stamped on Georgia Pacific CS(I already had this image stamped before I started using PTI White CS "Paper Trey Ink" which I prefer to use now) colored with copics and then I added some glitter glue to the stars and her tail. I also added more shimmer with come spica pens and sakura pens. The chipboard swirls are by Colorbok, that I cover in white pigment CTMH ink and then covered them in some Martha Stewart fine white glitter. I also colored the little prima flowers with my copics to match the colors in the image. I added some yellow bling to the centers of the flowers and a circle bling by Me and My Big ideas around the big yellow flower. I hope I this inspired you to try something different.
Copics Used:

Skin: E000,E00,E11,R20,RV02
Hair: E47,E50,E51,E53,E55
Oranges: YR09,YR07,YR04
Yellows: Y17, Y08,Y06,Y11,Y0000
Blue Greens: BG13,BG11,BG10,BG000,BG000
Greens(Tail)- YG25, YG03, G05

ATCs

Here I have a quick project perfect to bring on a vacation :) Stamp up some images, bring your favorite colouring medium, maybe some glitter and you're set. I stamped the images on a bit heavier paper and cut them the right size for ATCs (artist trading cards) Since I always colour my images to match the patterned paper I use I never colour them in advance. So this is a perfect project if I just feel like practicing my colouring skills or I'm off somewhere for the weekend.

Here are two ATCs I finished during Christmas break:

Getting ready for 2010 birthdays

This Ching-Chou Kuik image from Sweet Pea plate #20 is perfect for birthday cards. And with 2010 here, I need to build up my stash of birthday cards!!! How about you?
I had created some background paper using watercolor mists that I created using pearl-ex, so I used a piece of it and stamped the image with black India ink. I trimmed the paper close to the image and edged it with gold Krylon pen. Then, I used glitter glue and 3-D Crystal Lacquer to add some interest to the image. I mounted this onto a piece of decorative card stock that was also edged with the gold Krylon pen, and I added a piece of decorative edging/ribbon to the bottom. I selected a blue card and punched decorative photo corners in the top of the card so that I could slip the mounted image into it.

After stamping the image with black India ink I painted it with Twinkling H2O's. I trimmed the piece close to the image and then used a decorative corner punch. After mounting it onto a slightly larger piece of metallic gold card stock I used the same decorative corner punch again. I had some backgrounds that I had created using alcohol inks that worked great with this color scheme, so I mounted the piece onto the background, used the corner punch, and then outlined with a gold Krylon pen. I attached the piece onto a bright pink card, tied multi-colored fibers around the spine, and added 3 gold star-shaped brads to the bottom of the card.
Who wouldn't love to get this card for their birthday??
This is a great image.... Chrissy
