Heather Valentin’s Petals

Aletha here with a little inspiration piece featuring Heather Valentin’s Petals. Isn’t she a little charmer? A Petals card would be perfect for a little flower girl. I know that she would appreciate the cuteness. Petals can be found as a digital image or as a rubber stamp, whichever you prefer.

I am in love with Heather’s art work. Did you know that the Heather’s images available at Sweet Pea Stamps are designed exclusively for Sweet Peas? I think that is pretty cool!

Petals was first colored with Copics and then trimmed with a die. I then layered her on three layers of purple and light purple cardstock. Before layering I did add some Smooch Illuminate ink to the embossed edges.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, 00, 04, 11, 21, and R20
Hair and Basket: E25, 29, 31, 50
Eyes and Leaves: G40, 43, 46, 29
Pinafore and some flowers: V000, 01, 04, 06, 09
Other flowers: RV34, 52, 69
Dress: V000, RV34, 52, and C0, 2, 4
Dress sleeves: C4, 6, 8
Background: W00, 0, 01, 2, 4, and RV52

Other elements for my Petals project:
  • Cardstock: Pretty Pansy and Pretty Amethyst
  • Designer Paper: Heartfelt Creations
  • Dies: Spellbinder’s Matting Basics A, and
  • Memory Box Fabulous Phlox
  • Paints: Viva Décor 3D Rose Metallic Stamp Paint
  • Inks: Dusty Concord Distress Ink and Smooch
  • Pearls: Light purple from KC Company
  • Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon

I wanted to remind you all that we have a monthly challenge at One Sweet Challenge. There are fantastic prizes there. Over at our Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook group, we have a bi-weekly art contest. That prize is one digi stamp from the Sweet Pea Stamps store. You must use a Sweet Pea image, the theme is always “Anything Goes,” and you can enter as many times as you want. Each entry MUST be a new project. How easy is that? For all the upcoming events and sales visit our Sweet Pea Facebook page.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you visit every day for more Sweet Pea inspiration.

Karen Middleton's Summer by Randi

Hello to all of you!
I hope you're all doing fine, and that life is being good to you.
Today I am sharing a new card with you, made with the beautiful stamp named Summer by the amazing artist Karen Middleton. I just love her beautiful girlie images, they are so perfect for Confirmation cards, which I am making lots of these days. Springtime means Confirmation time here in Norway ;)
I've stamped up the image on Canson Aquarelle paper with Archival Ink Coffee (as always with me...) and colored her up with Distress reinkers (also as always with me... LOL)
This time I've been doing a small twist on my card: I've folded a Joy-Fold card. It has been a while since I tried a new folding technique, I love folding!! I love the Joy-folding - so easy and yet so effective!

Here are some pics:

The finished card.
I'm sorry about my fingers in the pic, but I had to hold the card so you could see how it is when it is folded ;)

One fold opened...

Both folds opended. I've made a writing panel and a money ribbon inside

Beautiful Summer

Wishing you all a happy week!

Lots of love,

Summer

Hi everyone, hope you enjoy summer just as I do... as long as it isn't too hot... :o). 'Summer' is the name of this gorgeous portrait stamp with which I made this card below. I am so in love with her. She is big joy to colour. This image is from the fabulous artist Karen Middleton. Did I already said I love her?? :o) Well, she definitely had to have pink and purple hair for the first creation I made with her. And so I made... and I am quite happy how it turned out.

I coloured her with Distress Inks. And the papers I used are from Maja Design. The butterfly die is Tim Holtz.

Have a wonderful day now!
Hugs, Karina

Beautiful Women

Here's two very different cards in very differnt styles using two amazing artist's stamps.  The first card uses a stamp named Summer from Sweet Pea artist Karen Middleton.  Isn't she gorgeous?  She looks so deep in thought. I love her.  Karen also makes adorable kids and cute fairy stamps, but this image here just drew me in and made me create this card.

The card below is a more whimsical treat with a very sexy woman from artist Nikki Burnette called Stella.  I just love those over the knee socks (or stockings).  Those just look like something I would wear.  I added a wonderful saying to the card "Butterfly Kisses."
Hope these cards make you want to go and create some cards today.  Be sure and check out these artists stamps at the store as well as the wonderful SALE that is happening.

dies by Magnolia and Cheery Lynn.

I hope you like her as much as I do.
