One Sweet Challenge - October 2013 - Card by Kym

It is the start of another month and therefore the start of another challenge over at the One Sweet Challenge.  The topic this month is "things that go bump in the night".
For me the topic of this challenge means anything spooky/to give you a fright so I decided to go with the Sweet Pea Stamps image by Teresa Sherman called "Pumpkin Witch".  This image is available from Sweet Pea Stamps as a single rubber stamp and as part of a multi-image plate (Sheet 6, Plate 215 - Pumpkin Witch comes on the multi-image plate with Spidey Spider and Best Witches, Little Pumpkin Fairy and In the Pumpkin Patch)

I have coloured Pumpkin Witch in with Promarkers/Flexmarkers and went for the colour scheme for the witch of orange and lime green.  I have inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Black Soot distress ink.
The backing papers are from Sumemrtime Designs and Bearly Mine Designs Halloween Hauntings.  I have inked all the papers with Black Soot distress inks and my Splodge Away mat.  I have then stamped around the image and the backing papers with a Sheena Douglass A Little Bit Sketchy cloud-like stamp.  On the green backing paper I have used a "That Special Touch" fence mask and my Black Soot distress ink to make it look like a fence around the church yard.  I have finished the card off with peel-offs for the word "boo", flowers, pumpkin charm and some fibres.  Although she is a very nice looking witch (if there can be one!!) I certainly wouldn't want to be in that graveyard at night!!

Pumpkin Witch

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!  here's a brand new stamp from our brand new Sweet Pea artist Regan Kubecek.  This image is called Pumpkin Witch.  Yum. I am a huge Halloween fan and I just love pumpkin.  I was delighted last week to walk in to my favorite bagel shop and see...pumpkin flavored bagels, pumpkin cream cheese, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cookies, even pumpkin latte.  WOW.  What a treat. I will say I totally gave in and had FOUR of the goodies on their menu right then.  Made me come home and whip out this fun image and get to coloring up some great pumpkins!

I am using some wonderful paper from Pink Paislee, don't you love the skulls on it?  It has some amazing Halloween design to it, it's from the Toil and Trouble line.  Here's a closeup of the new stamp, available in both rubber stamp and digital format.

There's so many fun Halloween theme stamps at Sweet Pea as well as some brand new images from artist Regan Kubecek, be sure and check out the current sale at the store.

Cheers, Holley
