Restless Thoughts

I just got this beautiful image from ching-chou kuik's fantasy art collection called Restless Thoughts, plate #45. I love this maiden, she's both elegant and innocent at the same time. I put her on a 6x6" card and used a beautiful metallic pink cardstock and some Prima floral accents along with some shaped butterfly buttons to highlight the card. To the right is an enlargement of just the stunning image created by the artist and my coloring using Copic markers.

I added a wonderful saying "May all your wildest dreams come true!" This saying comes from stamp plate #70 . It's just perfect for all sorts of great occasions.

Restless Thoughts

Good Morning!! Today I have a Sweet Pea card to share with you. I have had this image colored for over a month, so I can't remember all the colors I used to color her.

I think this image is just beautiful. I used "Restless Thoughts" by ching chou kuiks Plate#45 for Sweet Pea Stamps. The DP is from Rusty Pickle. I made my decorative frame using my cricut cutter, then painted them with some twinkling H2O's. I added some ribbon that my blogging friend Sarah sent me and the flowers on the sides came from my friend Rellz.
I also added some Pink bling and used an EKsucess border punch.

Oh I'm so loving this card! It's just my colors and the image is so gorgeous! I am a huge fan of Ching Chou Kuik's images. Each one is so unique and equally beautiful. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did creating it!

I have used an image from Plate 45 paired with a sentiment from plate 21 for

my card today.

You could call this one "Magical Mushrooms"

I stamped the lovely fairy on white Cryogen paper and colored her with Copic markers.

Then I sponged around the image with some light blue dye ink, leaving a small "halo" around it.

I matted with a burgundy paper and layered over a red-purple base.

I added some gems for corner bling and a couple of pearls to set off the words.

I also tried out the Copic white paint together with a tiny brush to set off the fairy jewelry.

That works so much better than those white marker pens that either skip or leave globs....

Happy Mother's Day

I really enjoyed using 'Aloha' to create a Mother's Day card. Pictures of Mothers with children are so precious and I especially enjoy these of the mermaids. Aloha and Carnation of May. Both so fitting for the creation of cards for the special Mother or Mother role in your life.

Fairies and Mermaids, Oh My!

I have made two cards today with images from ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection (sheet 15, Plate 45). For the first one I used the image "Aloha" and the sentiment that comes with the full sheet. I colored the image and the sentiment with Copics.

Restless Thoughts

This image is titled Restless Thoughts and is part of the ching-chou kuiks Fantasy Art Collection. I hadn't looked at the artist's colored version in some time, so find it interesting that we both used purple, or perhaps not since purple is my favorite color. I also managed to see her with a bit more skin showing, LOL! That is one of the things I love about stamps- everyone sees them just a bit differently!

A Mother's Love - Plate#45

Can you believe Mother's Day is just around the corner? Seems like just yesterday was Easter!

For my card today I used another image from ©ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection, sheet 15, plate #45:

I decided to try a different Copic color to outline the image. I tend to always reach for C1 to make the image appear 3D (well, that and it hides any little mistakes where the color is outside the lines :-) ). This time I used BG93. I'm not sure yet if I like it or not. So I thought I'd let you guys decide......:-).

I also used my Nesties Label die and finally (hear me scream "Woohoo") got my Cricuit hooked up to my laptop and updated my SCAL software. Playing around, I cut a swirly frame which you can see on the right side of the card.

Stamp: Ching-Chou Kuik's Fantasy Art Collection sheet 15

This image is from the gorgeous new Mother's Day themed sheet from Ching-Chou Kuik's Fantasy Art Collection. I love the wings on this fairy!! I think the new October Afternoon paper lines are perfect for all the Sweet Pea Stamps collections. They have a great storybook/fairytale feel to them. Here, I used background papers from the "Fly a Kite" and "Thrift Shop" lines.

The Copic colors on her hair are: E71, E74, E77, E79, B00, RV000, V04 and on her wings: BG34, G000, B00, V04, RV000, E40, W3, FRV1.
