A Trio of Cards To Share

I am lovely being on the Sweetpea DT and have been enjoying going through my Sweetpea collection of stamps. I love having so many lovely stamps and can chose the one that inspires me on that particular day.

For my first project I have used a fabulous stamp from Anna Marine called Trick Me Once or available as one of four stamps on Sheet 1, Plate 141.

I chose to kept to the green's and neutral's to reflect the IRISH theme of the stamp but I think she would look good any colour!

For my next project I used Rachel Anderson's Sunrise also available on stamp plate - sheet 2, plate 111

For this card I wanted to try to achieve a watercolour wash effect for the background. Have to admit I found it a lot harder than I thought to achieve. Sometimes the simple effects are the hardest to achieve. I used a blending pen to take out some of the colour giving a more subdued look.

My next project features Renee Biertempfel's Oceania and available on Sheet 1, Plate 144.Check out these stamps - she has created some wonderful backgrounds and I have been playing around with ways to achieve something similar - unfortunately can't find where I put them!

I have to say in this photo she does look as if she has a black eye but this I think is due to the fact you are only seeing a partial eye!

Hope you will enjoy your Sweetpea stamps as much as I do. New stamps are being released all the time so check out Sweetpea stamps and see what's available.

Further details of how these cards were made are available here

Best wishes,

Sea Angel

Hi dear fellow Sweet Pea lovers. Hope you're doing fine everyone. Today I want to share with you a card I made with the image of the fabulous artist Renee Biertempfel called 'Sea Angel'. I love this image so very much. And the other images on the same plate # 144 are not less amazing.

I coloured her with Distress Inks. The papers I used are by the Printery Collection from Prima Marketing and Butterfly Garden Collection from Pinkpaislee. I distressed the edges and added some white Distress crackle paint on them.

Have you already seen the new Halloween images Sweet Pea Stamps have in store now? If not you really have to take a look at them. They are gorgeous, and Halloween isn't far away anymore.

Have a magical day everyone and thank you so much for looking.
Hugs, Karina

Sea Angel

Here's a card using a stunning image from artist Renee Biertempfel called Sea Angel (Plate #144). I wanted to make a card using all different shades of pink. First I colored the Sea Angel using Copic Markers and then found lovely embellishments to surround her that matched the pink tones used on the card. Here's a closer look at the colored image so you can see the wonderful detail in this stamp. Isn't she stunning? All of the stamps on this sheet are gorgeous! I added a great saying to the card "Every man's life is a fairy tale written by God's fingers. Hans Christian Anderson." The saying is available on Plate #24.

The fun embellishments on the card are paper strips from Doodlebug, but you could easily make your own with decorative scissors or great punches. The flowers are from Imaginescense and are called Tiger Lily.

Hope this card inspires you today. Makes me want to go out to the beach. Maybe I will see an angel.

Cheers, Holley

Fairies and Angels

I hope you all had a fabulous time on the Rebecca Sinz blog hop.  We all had an absolute blast doing it. If you missed my card in your travels here it is.
This stamp can be purchased on its own or along with three other stunning images on Sheet #4,  Plate #172.

There are some images and designers that you fall in love with immediately.  That is how I felt when Renee Biertempfel joined the other amazing artists here at Sweet Pea Stamps.
Her images are different, but so beautiful.

I made this card using the stamp Sea Angel. It can be purchased alone or on Renee Biertempfel's Sheet #1, Plate #144.
The papers and embellishments used on this card are from an amazing kit club here in Australia called Lime Tart. I tend to colour an image first and then find the papers to match, and these papers worked perfectly with the image.

Thank you so much for joining me today.
I hope you have a fabulous week.
Hugs
Renee

Flower Girl and more

Today I have a card to share with you using one of Karen Middleton's images available at Sweet Pea Stamps.  The name of this image is "Flower Girl" and she can be purchased as a single or on sheet #13 Plate #152.

I think this image is so sweet.

Anyway here is another card I made. I used an image by Sweet Pea Stamps artist Renee Biertempfel's and her name is "Venus" and she can be found on Sheet #1 Plate #144 or she can be bought as a single.

I am having the hardest time getting good pics of cards with red on them.  It makes the image especially the skin look so light.  She looks so much better in person.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week,
