Stormy Moon

There are so many gorgeous mermaid images available from Sweet Pea Stamps.  One of the amazing artists of mermaids is Elaine Cox and this one is called Stormy Moon.  She was a joy to color.

I am especially pleased with the sky background and how it turned out.  I did it a different way than I have tried before and just crossed my fingers.

You can get Stormy Moon in  red rubber HERE or digital HERE.

I love many of the images by Joanne Schempp, but her mermaids are truly amazing.  I decided to use Emeraude.  She is available as  single rubber or part of plate #166.

Treat Hummer

Norma J Burnell has a fabulous fun style with all the zentangles and such through out the images.  I just love them and am captivated by their whimsy.  THEN, I saw THIS ONE, Treat Hummer.  LOOOOOVING it!!!  Do you see all the fun details?  The mouse with the witch hat, the eyeballs and the tiny jack-o-lantern?  More fun to color than you can imagine.

Variations Week : Alex's View

I was sooooooooooooooo excited when I learned what the variation image is for this week.  She is ADORABLE and it is HALLOWEEN!  How could I be happier?  I can't!

This cutie is Priscilla by Conie Fong.  I went outside my box and just colored her however I wanted, them pulled out papers.  I was fortunate and found a great match in some of my Halloween papers.  Then I used some die cuts to complete the card.

I hope you are enjoy all the variety by the DT while using the same image.  I love seeing what everyone creates.

Magical Springtime

This lovely lady is drawn by Elaine Cox for Sweet Pea Stamps and is called Magical Springtime.  She is available in both red rubber and digi form for whatever your preference.  I couldn't resist using some of my chipboard to create a second branch and bird to go with her.

Light of Beautitude

Light of Beautitude is by ching chou kuik and available in red rubber from Sweet Pea Stamps.  It has been some time since I colored up one of the earlier releases and I enjoyed doing so.  The artist has her with black hair, but I like her with the auburn as well.  Then background paper is from  Carta Bella.

Variations Week: Alex's View

Once again it is my favorite week of the month, Variations Week.  I just absolutely love seeing what the rest of the Design Team creates when we all work with the same image!

This week we all used Karen Middletons' An Apple A Day.  I decided to go with more of a fall type coloring.  I had some absolutely perfect paper for the background left from my Bo Bunny Apple Cider collection I got last year.

Don't forget, for the next couple of weeks the rubber stamp portion of the Sweet Pea Stamps store is closed, but you can continue to order digital stamps.

Go see all the gorgeous new images recently in at Sweet Pea Stamps.  I know there will be several you love.

Castle Fairy

This lovely fairy is called Castle Fairy and is drawn by Karen Middleton.  She looks so sad curled up on the window ledge.  Like she is thinking of a lost love.  It just tugs my heartstrings.  Where do you think her thoughts are?

Mirima

Love the portrait images drawn by Elaine Cox.  The sea horse and bubble on Mirima really caught my eye.  The warm colors just seem to suit her and the eyes drawn by Elaine Cox are just amazing.  Truly look like the windows to her soul.

Conie Fong has really created two amazing Mom and baby images for Sweet Pea Stamps.  This is the Mother and Baby Boy image.  As the mom of two boys this just stole my heart.

Love Birds

Isn't this the cutest image?  I saw it at Sweet Pea Stamps and just had to have it.  It is drawn by Karen Middleton and is called Love Birds.  After coloring and cutting out I paired it with some paper from the Carta Bella So Noted collection and the fabulous Breezy Branches corner die from SCACD.

Forget Me Not

Rebecca Sinz has a series of images named for different flowers.  This one is titled Forget Me Not and is part of Plate #242 or you can purchase it as a single in both rubber and digi format.  Once she was colored up, I paired her with some paper from the Basic Grey Wisteria collection and the Uncaged Bird die cut.

Variations Week: Alex's View

I think this image is just adorable.  I know it is called Red, White and Blue, but I had to try different colors.  Mostly because I am a rebel like that ;).

This is one of the few times I actually colored the image before picking the papers.  I only do that about 1 in 10 times, but love the end result on this one and it was a bonus to get to use my star dies cuts and add a bit of brad bling as well.

Pirate's Dream

This image by Joanne Schempp is titled Pirate's Dream.  Such fun elements to color.  I gave the waves foam some texture with Frosted Lace Stickles.  The script pattern paper reminded me of the writing on old style maps.

Morganna

I think the girls drawn by Terra Bidlespacher are just wonderful.  Each of them seems to speak to me and have so much expression on her face.  This is one of the newest releases from Terra Bidlespacher and is called Morganna.  She is available as a single rubber stamp or on a sheet with three other wonderful Terra Bidlespacher  images on Plate #210.

Autumn Passion

This lovely image is drawn by ching chou kuik and available from Sweet Pea Stamps.  Her name is Autumn Passion. Yes, I do realize that I am sitting here wishing for Spring and springlike weather, but she is so pretty, I couldn't wait for fall until I colored her up.

I paired her with some paper from Carta Bella and some pearls in my stash.  I really like the teal, red and black combo.

Lotus

Lotus is one of the many flower themed women in the collection drawn by Rebecca Sinz and available in digi and rubber from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I had planned to be much more ornate with the background and embellishments on this card, but everything seemed to be wrong with the image.  A few tiny polka dots on the paper and a single flower and the image just shines through.

Moon Glow

This gorgeous image is by Joanne Schemmp for Sweet Pea Stamps.  It is called Moon Glow and available in digi form.  I used a LOT of Copic Glitter Liners on this one so there is shimmer and shine all over.  It didn't photograph well, but it truly is full of sparkle.

Image: Sweet Pea Stamps-Moon Glow
Die Cuts: Dies by SCACD - Classic Corners, Memory Box - Cleaver Koi
Paper: Websters Pages - Modern Romance, Cardstock - stash
Pens: Copic markers, Copic Glitter Liners
