"First Kiss" by Conie Fong card by Viola

I've been busy making valentines for my love so I have a card to share.  I used  Conie Fong's image which is adorable.  I remember my Husband and I's first kiss like it was yesterday, although it was around November 16th 1988.  Well enough reminiscing, on to my card.

I colored it with copics, I texturized the trousers with some denim.

The embellishments all came from Stacy's store, Scrapmania., where I teach Copic Classes.  We will actually be making this card on Sunday.

Card by Viola, Ching Chou Kuik's "Sapphire Mermaid"

This week I've been super busy.  I sat down to make my card for the design team I decided to work on a stamp that I've never used before.  I loved this stamp since I got it months ago, but hadn't gotten around to it.  Well, I had a blast coloring it.  All the pearls and her gorgeous long hair was fun to color.  Here's a pic of what I made.

Variations week - Viola's view

This week we worked on "wither".  I really loved coloring this image.  The artist Rebecca Sinz is one of my faves and I have many of her images.  Please visit the website to see all of her fabulous work.

Viola's take on Deep Sea Sirene

Hello all!  Hope you all had a great Christmas.  My card this week is a new one by Ching Chou Kuik called Deep Sea Sirene.  It was a blast to color.  I was a little nervous about the octopus but I like the way he turned out.  The background paper is sold at the scrapbooking store that I teach at and I thought that the colors worked well together even though I hadn't had the paper when I colored the image.

Poinsetta Fairy

Well, I finally got around to do a Christmas card.  This image is called Poinsetta fairy by Cing-Chou Kuik.  I love the pose of this adorable fairy.

Seahorse by Ching Chou Kuik

Hello everyone,  today I have created a card with an image by Ching Chou Kuik called seahorse.
I used copics and a great spellbinders embossing folder called shells.  I painted it with a solution of mandarin perfect pearls and water.  I did this card in copic class and every student loved the image and said it was so fun to color.  I agree 100%.

This image comes in rubber and digi format.  Here isa close up.

Marima by Viola Leary

Hello,  hope you're all having a good pre-Christmas.  Today I have a card made with an image by Elaine Cox called Marima.  She is my first Sweet Pea Stamp and the one responsible for starting my current addiction to Sweet Pea Stamps.  This Is a new card that I used ro teach my copic 2 students to airbrush backgrounds.

"Dark Lilies" by Ching Chou Kuik by Viola

This week I used a new stamp from Ching Chou Kuik called "Dark Lilies". It is a beautiful stamp available in rubber, or digi form.  I used stargazer lilies in my wedding bouquets and I wanted to color the lilies like stargazers.  The hummingbird is another nice feature of this stamp.  I used copics and metallic jelly roll pens so it would shine.

This white background paper is a Nacre card from Tessler.  It match the lilies in the image so well and the iridescence matched the tones that I used of blue and pink.  The pink and blue glitter paper was from paper studio.

Featured Artist Week: Rachel Anderson

It was very hard for me to pick an image because I love so many of her images.  I finally decided to use Amanita Muscaria because of the mushrooms and the pose of the fairy.  I colored her with copics.

Purple woods by Ching-Chou Kuik

It has been so exciting for me to be working as a design team member.  I can remember sitting with some friends of mine and talking about how cool it would be to work in a design team for a stamp company.  Now, six months later, not only am I on a design team but I am on the Sweet Pea Stamps design team.  My friends and I all agree that sweet peas are THE BEST stamps around.  I had some time today so I wanted to make a card for my sister who is recuperating after her open heart surgery on the 8th of October.
The name if the stamp is Purple Woods.   I love the stamp because of all of the details.  This comes in Digi or rubber form.  Visit Sweet Pea Stamps to get one of your own. She is on sheet 5 of plate 25.   Here is the finished card.

Variations week : Viola's view

For variations week we are using Regan Kubecek's image called "Thanksgiving Harvest".  I knew I wanted to use warm colors and I found a zigzag pattern in some nice fall colors and built my copic palette around those colors.  I loved the Polka dot dress so I incorporated the colors into the dots.

I had a lot of fun with the image.  Here is a close up

 I wish to share with all of you one of the things I am thankful for this year, it is this blog.  I have loved Sweet Pea stamps since I found them and I love being on this design team with all of these 

wonderful, creative ladies.

Connie Fong's "Arrival if Spring"

This is Connie Fong's stamp called "the Arrival of Spring". The fairy is posed so beautifully and I loved the roses above her head.  I feather blended the wings with copic in Y04, B00 and R00.

The roses were RV00, RV02 and RV04.

Autumn trio by Ching-Chou Kuik

This is a new release stamp that I got and would like to share it.  It is called Autumn Trio by The very talented Ching-Chou Kuik.  This stamp is available in digi or rubber.   I made this card for a very special friend, Jill, who had a birthday recently.  I really like easel cards so I used that style of card and I love my new spellbinders cutter.

I colored this on paper by Hammermill.  It is really great thick card stock. Here is a close up.
