Two Sweet Witches

Hello! It is getting close to Halloween and that definitely has me in the mood to make cards with cute little witches and adorable kitties!! These two are both by Elaine Cox.

This first one is called Little Stars Witch and is from Plate #59. I colored the whole image with Copics and then I went over the moon and the sky with Twinkling H2O watercolors. I used a Cuttlebug die (cut out twice and cut in half) for the photo corners and an EK Success edge punch to cut the black piece that separates the two panels.

The Details:

This image is called Playing With Stars and is from Plate #46. Again, I colored the image with Copic markers and then went over the background with Twinkling H2O watercolors. I used Diamond Stickles for some sparkle on the stars, the Kitty wings and the photo corners.

Cards using Elaine Cox images and ching chou kuiks "The Moth"

How is everyone today??? I have 3 Sweet Pea cards to share with you today. For this first one I used and Elaine Cox image called Pirate Treasure Mermaid sheet # 5 /Plate#46 at Sweet Pea Stamps. The DP is a mat pad from me&my Big ideas called Journey. I added some Wild Orchid Crafts roses and Prima little roses. I also took some sea shell beads and and ran some wire through them to make a sea shell embellishment. The image was colored with copics, used some liquid pearls for the pearls and some glittery sakura pens and added some bling to the corners of the image.

I LOVE THE COLORS of this card and the image is gorgeous and alittle different for ching chou kuiks as it's a circle stamp(Love it)! The name of this image is The Moth and you can get her HERE at Sweet Pea Stamps. She is sold as a single image with a beautiful sentiment.
I hope you are like her as she is probably one of my favorites!! Doesn't she look 3D?? Oh what you can do with copics. No I didn't cut her out just using the darker colors around her gives that 3D look. Thank you for all your sweet comments!!
Supplies Used:
Paper: DP is Dancing Jewel by KAISERCRAFT( I love this DP), olive/sage green CS, the plum was colored with ink pads to match
Accessories: Fiskars circle punch, spellbinders pendant die, BIG corner die are cut with a Sizzix die, the small corner dies are from cuttlebug.
lace, and the butterfly border is from K&Company
Glitter glue and Doddle Bug glitter

For this card I used another Elaine Cox image called Playing with Stars also on the same sheet/plate.
I wanted to make her skin light so I colored her with E50 and E51. Her skin is a little darker in person, but I took the pic outside and the sun was so bright.
The DP is from a DCWV Fall Stack. The sentiment is from a ching chou kuiks Sweet Pea Stamps set. I used my new Martha Stewart border and corner punch (I am still trying to figure out what size to cut my paper to make it come out right) . I added some Wild Orchid Crafts roses and some Fiskars tear drop looking embellishments in purple (but in this pic they look black).

Playing with Stars

For my card today, I just had to ink up this adorable new image from Elaine Cox for Sweet Pea Stamps. This particular image is called Playing with Stars and I think it' :)
I colored my image with copics and then added Stardust Stickles to the stars and to the cat's wings. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Basic Black and Perfect Plum). The design paper is from Recollections (from Michael's). I used my SU ticket corner punch in all the corners and added light lavender pearls. For some finishing touches, I added a ribbon, bow, and cat charm. What do you think?
Thank you all so much for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Hugs, Christine

Believe

This card started out with an old but fun piece of lace that I found. I loved the stitching on it and the sequins. I just wanted to include it in a card. This stamp is designed by Elaine Cox and is called "Playing with Stars." To add the lace on the card I used staples in a misc pattern on the top and bottom and then added other metal embellishments such as brads, words and shapes.Next I think I want to try a fun piece of fabric or two on my cards. In hindsight I will say this ribbon was very loose and sheer which is why I used brads and staples for it, but for more solid ribbons or fabric, I would think about something like a xyron to adhere it.

Wishing you a be-witching day!
Holley
