Variations Week: Shanna's View

It is Variations Week this week and I (Shanna) hope you have been inspired by all the different ways the team has used our special image.

But first let me say HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!

This week we are using the image called Rose created by the artist Concetta Kilmer.

I colored her with copics to match my Bo Bunny papers.

I added a little touch to add some crackle to the jewel and then some glossy to the gold part of it.

I hope you have enjoyed this week of inspiration!

Variations Week: Holley's View

This week over at Sweet Pea stamp is the variation's week, that means that each designer is using the same stamp to create a card. I think this technique is a wonderful way to see so many different ways to use the same stamp!  This beautiful stamp today is Concetta Kilmer's Rose image.  Stunning!  She is currently available as a digital stamp.  Here's my card using this beautiful stamp.

As soon as this stamp came out, a friend on the DT tells me, "Oh Holley, this looks just like a stamp you would use to make your hubby a card."  Yes, Yes indeed it does.  I added sentiments on the card for him too.  Here's a close up of the image, Rose.
Be sure and check out all of the amazing stamps at Sweet Pea stamps.  I know Rose would make a perfect Valentine card!  So Happy Valentine's Day everyone.  Tell your hubby you want some stamps!

Cheers, Holley

I have to say that I had so much fun, once again, with this months chosen image. It has that fun "tattoo" type style to it which was fun to work with.

Variations Week: Ali's View

This week is Variations Week at Sweet Pea Stamps, where all the Design Team create projects using the same stamp. I always love Variations Week as it's so amazing to see how people can take the same image and create such amazingly different projects using it. :)
The image we're using this week is a new stamp from Concetta Kilmer called Rose:
I went for a soft pastels colour scheme for my card and decided to colour the image using my Prismacolor pencils, for a nice soft effect:
I die-cut the image out using a decorative oval die and decorated my card with pretty floral papers. I layered on a doily and a punched border strip before attaching my image using foam tape.
To finish things off I added detail around the edges of the image and in the corners of the card using a pink Perlen Pen.
This gorgeous stamp is available in red rubber or digi format from the Sweet Pea Stamps store. And don't forget to check the Sweet Pea Stamps blog each day this week for more great projects designed using this stamp.

Variations Week: Nataliya's View

Welcome to another day of Variation week at Sweet Pea Stamps. This time we have a chance to work with this sassy image "Rose" by Concetta Kilmer.

Skin and hair i colored with Pencils, and roses with Promarkers.  I know it should be in red, but i was making purple paper roses all day, so i guess i got inspire by them lol. I was going to use some on my card, but it's already more then enough flowers on this image.  I added some glitter and glossy accents, and gold pen to the image. Sentiment on this card "Be Mine" from the sticky foam. Also i used two Die cuts and MS deep border punch. Katharine let me use one of her stickers Heart. (How nice of her)

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments.
Hugs Nataliya

Variations Week: Sylvia's View

Hi there!
It's variationsweek again!
And this time we all have our own view on

I colored her up with my promarkers.
I am just a newbee with this colormedium, so bear with me.
The first thing that came up to me, is that she is like a Pin-Up girl.
So I used strong colors.

Look at all the other DT-members.
It's always so nice to see our different views on this topic!

Big hugs,
Sylvia

Variations Week: Kym's View

It is time for Variations Week over at the Sweet Pea Stamps.  This is the week in the month when the whole Design Team have the same image and make cards/creations to share with you all.

This month the image we are using is "Rose" by Concetta Kilmer.  It is available as a digital stamp.
I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens.  The backing papers I was given.  I have used my heart border mask and used a black Pan Pastel through it and then sprayed the card with Crafter's Companion Spray and Shine.  I love the effect this gives a project but even spraying outside and leaving in the garage overnight it still smells and makes me cough.  I have finished the card off with a sentiment, Tim Holtz die-cut flowers, pearl brads and a flower/ribbon embellishment that I must have had for 3-4 years!!

Here is another card I have to share with you today.  Valentine's Day will soon be upon us but I think this card could be used anytime to show someone some love.  I have used a Sweet Pea Stamps image by Conie Fong called "Bella".  It is available as a digital stamp and a rubber stamp.

I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens.  The backing papers I was given.  I have used my new large dots embossing folder that I got from my son for Christmas.  You'll see this folder a lot as I love it.  I have finished the card off with some ribbon, paper flowers which I have coloured with Graph'it pens, gem brads and a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

Kym's Weekly Post - Sunday 8/12/13

It is Sunday and therefore time to show you some of my Sweet Pea Stamps creations.
Here is a Christmas card I have made using a Sweet Pea Stamps image by Ching-Chou Kuik called "Where we met".  I know it's not technically a Christmas image but I thought it would be perfect.  It's available as a digital stamp.
I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.  I have used a selection of small snowflake stamps and Tim Holtz's Victorian Velvet, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany distress inks to stamp snowflakes around the image.  The backing papers I was given.  I have finished the card off with some washi tape, sentiment from my Perfect Companions Christmas CD, poinsettias, glitter scroll and die-cut deer.
****************************************
Here is a card I have made using a Sweet Pea Stamps image by Teresa Sherman called "Marina".  For my card I have used the digital image but she is also available as a rubber stamp.  I have coloured my image in with my Promarkers/Flexmarkers and highlighted areas with a gold gel pen and a white gel pen.
The backing papers I have used are Bearly Mine Designs GinghamSimply Dots and Plain and Simple.  I have torn the blue backing paper with a wave tearing ruler and inked the edges with a chalk ink pad.  I have used a Marianne Designs die - LR0245 - which is called "Christmas Leaves" and die-cut out of green card and then inked through with Tim Holtz's Tumbled Glass and Broken China distress inks as I thought this looked liked seaweed.  I have finished the card off with some orange netting, ribbon, gems, buttons and a die-cut sentiment.
****************************************
For this card I have used the Sweet Pea Stamps image by Rebecca Sinz called "Rose". It is available in a digital stamp and also in a rubber stamp. I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and added Frantage around the edge and some purple Stickles glitter glue.

The backing papers I have used are Bearly Mine Designs Plain and Simple and Rose's Dream. I have mounted the image on a Marianne Designs die-cut. I have finished card off with some raffia ribbon, gingham ribbon, flower display, another two Marianne Designs die-cuts, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and some paper roses.
