Featured Artist Week with Lina

With Conies images it's always hard to choose. So many beautiful ones. But my favorite of hers is Sally & Snowball. It's just so incredibly cute and full of emotion. And I love making it into a Warm Winter Greetings card or, as in this instance, a Christmas card. In June, yeah, I know. At least this way I got one done this year. I always seem to be behind with my Christmas cards.

As always I used Copics to color the pretty image. These are the ones I used:

Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11
Reds: R35, R46, R59, R89
Hair: E21, E35, E57, E49
Greens: YG61, YG63, YG67, G99
Yellow: Y21, Y23, Y26, Y28, E15
Fluff: W0, W1, W3
Snowball the Cat: W3, W5, W7

I had chosen my papers, which were leftovers from a collection I bought last year, before I chose which Copics to use. This way I could get it all to match somewhat nicely. It might be a little untradtional to have cherry blossoms and green roses on a Christmas cards, but it was the only ones I got, that matched. And I don't really think the recipient will mind terribly.

The pretty stamp, Sally and Snowball, is available at the Sweet Pea Stamp store as a digi and rubber stamp.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Precious card and Sally and Snowball card

I colored this sweet image, Precious by Conie Fong for Sweet Pea Stamps, the other night-just because so I thought I'd get her on a card!

You can find the digi of this sweetie~ HERE and the rubber stamp~ HERE!

I colored the image with copics and then went sparkle crazy with a stardust pen in her hair (the photos don't show it very well) and stickles on her wings. I used a nestie die to cut her out and then paired her with papers from Echo Park's Country Drive. A few rhinestones finish the card off.

Also sharing a card using the super sweet Sally and Snowball by Conie Fong from Sweet Pea Stamps. You can find the digi~ HERE and the rubber stamp~ HERE!

I colored the adorable image with copics and then added some Cotton Candy Sparkly Fluff to all the trim on her boots/clothes. I paired her with some papers from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kiss and then added a snowflake and some pearls. I also outlined the shape of the nestabilities die with a marker while the paper was still in it~~ love the effect of that.

Hope your day is fabulous!

Sally and Snowball

Hello everyone, hope you are doing fine. We have hot summer temperatures here in Switzerland, so I was totally in the mood to create a winter-like card. Just to cool down a bit just in mind... :o). I used a sweet  image from Conie Fong; 'Sally and Snowball', as being a cat lover one of my all time favorite image. She is just great to color up what I did with Copics. Sweet Sally and Snowball is available as rubber stamp and as digital image, too.

Below you can see a close up of the image. The papers I used are from Echo Park.

Thank you so much for looking! Have a wonderful day now!

SHARON'S TURN

Today is my Youngest Brother's Wedding but due to ill health I'm not able to make it.  To stop me dwelling on what I am missing I have tried to immerse myself in making this card for Sweet Pea.  I have one image almost finished but decided to make a card from scratch so I stamped out a couple of images I fancied working with.  This was one of them and the one I decided to use first.

This stamp is from the Artist Conie Fong and is called SALLY AND SNOWBALL and is available here.

This time I chose the papers before colouring - tones of Purple.  After colouring I couldn't decide whether to use glitter or some other bits and pieces to enhance the fur on the little girl's clothes.  Mica won the battle over glitter but in my eagerness I managed to flatten the effect but hopefully it still works!

More details can be found on my blog here.

Best wishes,
