Come on...just one little kiss?

I just love this adorable image - it is from the Lisa Victoria collection and is titled Daphenes Dilema. You can pick this image up along with three additionally wonderful images on plate #49 or check out the sale pages where this sweet image can be found for half off! The sentiment can be found on plate #50. It was colored with copics and the paper is BoBunny. ttfn!

Daphenes Dilema

I think we are all faced with the same dilemma as this cute little fairy at some time in our life. However, I truly believe that it's the inner "beauty" that counts. So for my card today I used Lisa Victoria's "Daphenes Dilema":

I used vellum card stock as my card base as well as gold mirror card stock. The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo dye ink and after die cutting the image panel. I used chalks and distress ink to blend the background and the edges.
The image is colored with copics but I did add a little glitter to the wings with glitter pens and then used glass effect gel on the skirt which I left uncolored.

I couldn't resist to add the "Do you believe" sentiment from Plate #20.

I'll be honest, I couldn't get the card to look right no matter what I tried (heck I couldn't even get this blog post sounding right), in the end I left it as you see it here. Like I told my husband, "some days it just isn't happening" :-).

Daphenes Dilema is available as a single stamp or as part of Plate #49 and if you haven't stopped by the Sweet Pea Stamps store, you need to hop over there and check out all of the awesome sales going on.

Gimme a kiss, Baby!

You just gotta love this fun image from artist Lisa Victoria. This adorable stamp is called Daphne's Dilemma. I can just chuckle while I imagine the sweet talk this frog is trying to give to this girl. This stamp comes on plate #49 and has the cutest saying to go with it! "Sometimes, you have to kiss a few frogs to find a prince." You don't see this saying on my card above as I used it on the inside of my card. On the front of this card, I used some great sayings that come from other plates of Sweet Pea Stamps "Enchantment" from plate #38 and "Sending you O's & X's" from Gum Drop Gang's Be Mine.

Have an enchanting day, everyone! Please check out my blog as right now there is some great blog candy being sponsored by Sweet Pea stamps! 2 wonderful sheets of stamps will be given away (1 sheet to each winner). All you need to do is leave a comment on the Blog Candy posting. The drawing is Sept 5, so go over and sign up, you guys are so great I hope one of you wins! Connie-Daphenes Dilema-Mosaic Technique

It's hard to color an image carefully and then cut it into pieces, but that is just what I did!
I turned it over and drew lines on the backside, numbering as I went for easy reassembly.
After cutting apart I affixed it to a scrap of black paper, setting each piece just
a little apart from the next so the black showed.
I layered this onto some yummy textured paper by Paper Temptress and
added some black gems by Want2Scrap.
Stamps used were by

Sweet Pea Stamps
from the Lisa Victoria line, plate #49
This particular image is titled
"Daphene's Dilemma"

**Don't worry about getting the edges even as you won't. Rather put it together matching image
lines and then trim edges. I mounted it all on another black layer then.**
You can do any pattern and any size piece and it will look just fine when finished.

Thanks for looking.
