Tera's Pirate Mermaid briefcase

 Hallo,
   I had so much fun playing with my Pirate mermaids to make up this fancy briefcase.
  I altered the briefcase by covering it with pretty paper and then added  the images from Ching Chou Kuik called 'Unregrettable Piurate Life' and Caribbean treasure' - both are available as digi's and Unregrettable Pirate Life as a rubber stamp also.
   I colored both images with prismacolor pencils.

Pins in my Heart

 Here's a striking image from Sweet Pea artist Concetta Kilmer called Pins in my Heart.  Something about this image is just so stunning to me. I had to print it out as soon as I saw it. I colored her up in an assortment of Copic markers and used a reddish brown background with tan and brown embellishments to match.

 

Isn't this image Stunning? I love the horse and the doll.

Butterfly Yellow

Hi there, thanks for stopping by.  Today I would love to share Karen Middleton's  BUTTERFLY YELLOW .

You will notice however, that I have not coloured anything in yellow, thought I would show a different interpretation of this gorgeous image.

I had so much fun making her all pink and girly and I just adore the finished card, hope you do as well.

Cherry Pickin'

This is one of the most adorable stamps I've seen to date. I just absolutely love that face of hers. And she's was an absolute dream to color.

I've colored her with Copics, in muted tones cause I thought that would be good for a late summer card:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E21, E13
Hair: E21, E35, E57, E47
Blues: B91, B93, B95, B97
Purples: RV91, RV93, RV95
Browns: E71, E74, E77, E70
Basket: E31, E34, E35
Cherries: R56, R59, 0

She was just to darn cute to hide away, when the card was open, so as always it's an easel card fold. It gives her a chance to shine on the mantlepiece, table, desk etc.

Weekly Inspirations With Nataliya

 Hello my Friends. Here is my card as a weekly inspiration at Sweet Pea Stamps. This will be my last card for a wile, as i taking some time off.
For this card i used image by Karen Middleton "Bunny Box". I think that this image could be good for Easter or Birthday's cards. Image was colored with Pencils.

SPS - Woodland Fairy by Charity Dauenhauer

Sweet Pea Stamps

Today is my day to showcase an image from Sweet Pea Stamps and I have opted to use the digi Woodland Fairy by Charity Dauenhauer.

I fancied making my own background for this card, partially because I could not find just the right paper in my stash and also because I have loads of rubber stamps which I don't use much, I am totally useless at rubber stamping lol.  To begin with I designed the coloured background in Photoshop and used a leaf brush for the borders.

 Next I stamped a bunch of trees using the Scenescape trees set and then I embossed them with black embossing powder.

 To break the background up a bit but not hide it I airbrushed a piece of acetate with a brown Promarker.

 Next I coloured the digi with Promarkers and also use in some Derwent Artist pencils for the background.

 I have to admit, I was not happy with the background done with the pencils so reverted to my usual method of masking the digi and then airbrushing with Promarkers.

 To finish off the digi I add Stickles to the flowers and butterflies (forgot to show the colour I used, sorry) and also to the leaves.  In the bottom right I assed Flower Soft to give a lovely textured and very 3D feel.

 To complet the card I added turquoise lace and flower embellishment made up of plant matter.  Three button to the bottom of the branches and a wee bow with a turquoise gem I found in my button box, think it was a bit of an earring in a past life.  The final touch was some more Flower Soft.

Sunday is here and Sande's time to host the day's post. I have done a card this time by using this fabulous fairy Maggie by Elaine Cox. You can find Maggie either rubber or digital. I have colored her with Copics and added some spots by using liquid pearls. 

She looks great even with a pink hair :)

Meet Lileth

Check out this awesome Sweet Pea stamp from artist Teresa Sherman. This image is Lilleth. Isn't she stunning? I really wanted to highlight the gorgeous woman in this stamp.  I colored her face and hair in colors, I did the background (the dotted areas) in WARM greys and did the foreground (i.e. the flowers) in a monotone set of Cool Greys.   

It's hard to see on this image, but the black card stock is a shimmery metallic back, more of a metal glaze and a shiny metal.  The orange is actually a copper metallic (mica) cardstock.  I used all different sort of die cutters from Memory box to surround the image, but kept the all the same color, so even though it's "busy" looking, they blend together. Then I added a simple sentiment with a matching glitter tone "Forever."  I think the look on her face very much fits with that sentiment.

The shop recently had several new digi stamps from Teresa Sherman.  She has the most beautiful lady stamps as well as some fun Halloween and gothic type images.  The store also sells many of her stamps in rubber stamp format.

Owl Territory

One of my favourite birds are owls, I absolutely love them, so I thought Owl Territory by Ching-Choa Kiuk would be the perfect stamp to showcase today.

I decided to keep the layout rather simple as to not detract from the fabulous image.
Coloured with Copics and created the background from by using various sprays, cut with Die-Namics Die, inked with Distress Ink, flower is handmade, added a few sequins here and there and last of all a steampunk die owl by Cheery Lynn.
