ching chou kuik's Spring Butterfly

Today I have this cards to show you that I made with  one of the newest ching-chou kuiks  images on sale now, at Sweet Pea Stamps.
Her name is Spring Butterfly, and you can find here here, sheet 36,-Plate #143!
I have coloured her with Prisma Premier Pencils, and the paper is from TPC studio."Grandma's attic"!
I have painted some of the flowers, paper and embillishments with white Gesso, and I like the "Shabby look":)

I LOVE butterflies, so this image was a perfect choice for me!
I've added some glitter (Stickles-Star Dust) on her wings:)
All the flowers are from Prima, and was originally a flower branch, which I cut up!
The swirl is a dies from Marianne Design, and butterfly punch from M.S.
I dont know the name of the fabric behind the image ( is it harsh?;D).

Well, there's definitely a lot of ching-chou images to inspire, so I will definitely make more cards with these beautiful stamps:)
Wish you all a  beautiful day!
Hugs, Ellen

Multi coloured blocking

I've had so much fun playing with today's card. It's a technique I've never used before I think and I came up with it all on my own (although I had inspiration) I'm proud of it and thought I'd share it with you.

If you're not very happy with your colouring of the sweetpea images  - you don't have to be! There are so many ways to use your stamps and this is one of them.

I started by inking different stamps in different bold coloured inks on white paper and embossing them with clear embossing powder. After the powder has cooled off I inked the whole image with a contrasting colour with a direct-to-paper technique (which means you dab the inkpad directly on the paper) When I was happy with the result I wiped the images to remove any ink that was left on the raised embossed part. This will make the images pop. Finally I cut out different sized blocks and mounted them together. I added the little ribbon and bow to add some more interest to the card.

It's a super easy technique and I hope you'll give it a go. All you need is some embossable inks (I used small versacolor) and some clear embossing powder. Have fun!

Images used:
ching chou kuik: Seahorse plate 79
ching chou kuik: cheshire cat illusion plate 41
ching chou kuik: autumn harvest plate 57
Elaine Cox plate 102
Meredith Dillman: peacock fairy plate 76
Nikki Burnette: Tulsa
Sentiment: plate 30

I hate to do this, but I have been taking a major loss on shipping lately and had to raise my prices. Most overseas shipping that I end up paying is $13.95 and USA is normally $4-$5. The new prices is as following:

All USA mailings will be going in flat rate mailers and be $4.95

Overseas will be as following:

under $10 will be $5.95

$10- $20 will be $7.95

over $20 will go in a flat rate mailer of $13.95 (no matter how large of a order)

Canada customers will be $5.95 unless it is a large order and needs to go in a priority envelope, which then will be $11.95

(our website does not calculate International shipping and charge you the USA rate, so if paying by Paypal, we will request the difference

For the month of July to offset this new change, all orders will get 2 unmounted stamps (our choice) free in their pkg. (this is over a$10 value)
