Mending a Broken Heart

Hello everyone, today I show you a more clean and simple card... well, for me it is, compared with the cards I usually make with lots of embellishing. But I thought this beautiful image has to stand for its own. It is from Helena Reis and is called 'Mending a Broken Heart'. It is available as Digital Image.

I made the image quite big and paper pieced her dress. The coloration is made with Copics. I addes some Stickles to her wings and some crackled paint to the heart... to let it look like a broken heart.

Thank you so much for looking! Wish you a happy day.
Hugs, Karina

  1. This is stunning Karina. She is a gorgeous image and has been made into a beautiful card. Yes it might not have a lot of embellishments but when postage is so high we can't send cards with lots of bits-and-pieces on them and it is nice for other crafters to see that you can still make beautiful cards without lots of extras. Best wishes, Kym xxx

  11. Karina this is amazing! I love love LOVE how you've coloured this image... especially the amazing shading on the hair and the way you've paper-pieced, but also shaded, the dress. It makes the whole image look rounded and 3-dimensional. :)

Such pretty papers you've used too and the contrast of the pink and the turquoise blue is perfect.
