Variation's Week: Holley's View

Hello everyone!  Hope you are all enjoying the variations week here at Sweet Pea stamps!  So much fun, isn't it?  I know I love to see what all of the different designers do with the same image.  Here's my take using Karen Middleton's image "An Apple a Day"

I colored the image using Copic Markers and added some Washi tape to my card.  I added some Glitz, the word Friends, as I can so see her holding her own imaginary conversation with the little tiny worm in that apple.  I also used a wonderful sentiment from Sweet Pea stamps "For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it."
Here's a close up of my coloring of this image
I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the wonderful variations on this week's stamp.  Be sure and check out all the fun images from artist Karen Middleton at the Sweet Pea Store this week.

Cheers, Holley

  1. Holley, this is a very pretty card. Love the addition of the word "friends" and that sentiment is beautiful. Best wishes, Kym xxx

  2. I really like how you made this up Holley. The "friends" is exactly the right touch!

  3. Such a pretty card Holley. Nice touch with the Buttons.

  4. Sweet!!! The text is awesome. Love how you put friends in the side. :)

  5. Such a pretty card, Holley! You coloured her so beautiful. Great idea to add some Washi tape. It looks like it would be lace. The sentiment is a perfect match.

  6. Oooh that's lovely washi tape, Holley! I keep collecting the stuff but rarely seem to use it!

I love your colouring on this image - it looks so bright and summery. :)

  7. So beautiful. This makes me smile almost feels like you can hear her talking. Beautiful work.
