Variations Week: Kym's View

It is time for Variations Week.  All of the Design Team are given the same image to use in their own way and each day on the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog you see different creations.  I obviously love Sweet Pea Stamps but I always looked forward to this week of the month to see the variety of creations - now being part of the Design Team I get to take part.
This month the image that we have been given to use is called "Red, White and Blue" and is by the talented Artist Karen Middleton.  The image is available in a rubber stamp. I decided I wanted to keep the colour scheme to red, white and blue as per the name of the stamp as I love this colour scheme.  I have coloured the image with my Promarkers and highlighted areas with my Sakura Stardust pen.
The backing papers I have used were a freebie last year with the DoCrafts Creativity Magazine for our Queen's Diamond Jubilee.  It also included a sheet of little postcards so I have used one of these and torn it in half.  I have finished the card off with some Papermania Glitterations, selection of buttons, red/white and blue/white twine twisted together and a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

  1. Kym, this is precious, I love all the layers and the buttons. The postcard/ envelope is a nice layer on this and your coloring is awesome.

  2. Kym, I love all the patterns you used and combined here. It is perfectly done and not 'busy', but just right. Those blue and white striped buttons are AWESOME!

  3. Gorgeous! The letter is so perfect!!! Really love it! The papers fits perfect to. :)

  4. Adorable. I love the embellishments, esp those buttons and twill you added. Lovely and they bring the whole card together. nice work

  5. Oh I love the letterstyle!! Beautiful card!!

  6. Oooh I love the die shape you've used to cut around the image and the torn postcard is a fabulous addition!

This is a really sweet card. :)

  7. Red, white, and blue galore, Kym! Great job. I love this!

  8. Such a gorgeous card, Kym. Love how you added the airmail envelope on your card. This looks so great! Also love your colour combo.
