Variations Week: Lori's View

Variations Week: Lori's View

I created this card using a beautiful stamp called "Mystery" by Anna Marine. I decided to go with a princess in a tower look. I dry embossed the top layer of paper, sanded it and inked it with Black soot distress ink before spraying it with Ethereal Emerald Moonshadow Mist by Lindy's Stamp Gang.
The windows are inked around the edges and have Liquid Glass on top to make them look more like stained glass. I added Stickles and various gems to accent. The window is from a Cricut cartridge  and layered three times to create the color variation. The flower was shaded and then I cut off the bottom to make it a better size for her to wear in her hair. I drew on a necklace chain and colored the pearl to match her dress.
I used a small square stamp pad to make the stones in the wall, inked with Black Soot Distress Ink, and added a frame to make the inside view of the window. The other side has a Nestabilities frame painted with Expresso metallic paint under the image.

  2. Oh my word, Lori... this is incredible! What an amazing, innovative idea! I love all the detail on the tower and the amazing little touches like making a stone pattern on the inside "wall"!

Your colouring is just incredible.. so rich and vibrant and really realistic shading.. and I love how you see the woman in close up when seen through the "window".

I am in awe of your imagination! :)
