Celebrate the New Year!

Here's a great stamp from artist Elisabeth Bell. This adorable girl is celebrating the new year. I took the blue from her blowing horn and added wonderful die cut flourishes all over the card as an image of her noise flowing out to the world that the new year is here! Welcome 2012!

Here's a close up image of this adorable stamp, called Party Play, it's sold individually (CLICK HERE), and can be used on wonderful occassion where you need to send out a card to shout out good news to someone. The vertical Happy New Year sentiment comes on a whole sheet of sayings (CLICK HERE) done in a vertical format, these go so perfect with this stamp!!
Wishing all of you a very Happy New Year! I hope we can all have as much fun stamping our lives away as we did in 2011! Are you making resolutions for 2012? I think mine should be more fun! We all take time to do so much serious stuff all day long and are so stressed out. Why not make a resolution and PROMISE ourselves a little piece of fun everyday. 10-20 minutes of happiness and laughter, crafting, hugging our loved ones, walking outside, those can be the best minutes of the day everyday. Promise yourself that this year!

Cheers, Holley

Dragonfly Fantasy

Once again I went into my older ching-chou kuik images to revisit the beauty of them.

This image is from Plate #21 which is only the second sheet from ching-chou kuik.  The image is called Dragonfly Fantasy.  I paired it with some BoBunny paper that has glitter in the stripes.  I had some punched dragonflies to add, but the just couldn't seem to find the proper landing spot on the card, so were left off.

Hope your New Year is going well so far.  Can hardly wait to see all the Customer Submissions each month in 2012!!

Get Inky!

SWEETPEA STAMPS

Hi
Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Year.  I'm just starting to craft again after packing everything away whilst my Son and his Girlfriend came to stay!

For my first post of 2012 I have used one of the Elizabeth Bell stamps called BEACH BALL and available here so why not check out all her whole collection and some of the other fabulous stamps available at SWEETPEA STAMPS.

Still practicing with settings on the camera to try and get the best reproduction I can!  My Husband has just ordered me a light box so watch out for my next project!

All further details of how this card was put together can be found on my blog here.

Best wishes,   Sharon

Connie-Think SUMMER!!

I was so inspired by some work done by Theresa Momber that
I tried to CASE one.
I see there is more of an art to sponging
inks than I thought there was.
Here is my attempt such as it is.

Supplies:

Sweet Pea plate #5 (an Oldie but Goodie!)
white pen by Inkssentials
Copic markers
tree sticker and flowers from my stash
Memento Inks:
"Angel Pink"
"Lulu Lavender"
"Grape Jelly"
"Paris Dusk"
"Cantaloupe"
"Tangelo"
"Tuxedo Black"
various sponges

I stamped and colored the Beach Girl and then stamped a mask to cover her
while I sponged the inks for my scene.
This is such a cool stamp set!  I just love all the great images on this set!!
You can find them by clicking below:

Thanks for stopping by and think SUMMER!!

Furry Little Angel

Hi dear Sweet Pea Stamps lovers. How are you doing. Hope fine and you had a wonderful festive season, just as I had... but way too much eaten... :o).

Not many of you may know that I am a big cat lover. I have three little furry friends by myself. So these days I made a card with this super cute angel cat image by Karen Middleton. Isn't this little furry angel too sweet? I fell so much in love with it. It is availabel on Plate # 135 together with another adorable image. The sentiment I used is from Sweet Pea as well. I think this way it would fit perfect for a Valentines card as well.

I coloured the image with Distress Inks and added some Stickles Frosted Lace on the cats wings. The papers I used are by Basic Grey.

Here's a close up of the image...

Thank you so much for looking. Now I wish you a Happy New Year, may it become a good year for us all.
Magical wishes,

Happy New Year!

First off, I am not sure what blogger is doing because this was not typed in caps and when I checked to correct it is shows the standard typing. So sorry.

Happy New Years! Today's card features the Elisabeth Bell's Party Time image. Once it was colored I had the thought that I had featured it before, but then the thought crossed my mind that a fantastic image is one that can be used over and over for so many reasons.

Isn't she adorable celebrating this new, wonderful year?

The printed paper is from Cosmo Cricket, flowers are prima and she was colored with copics. Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you the best year yet! ttfn
