Loves me, loves me not...

This week I have been playing with Molly from the new sheet. Molly seems to have a crush on someone and wants to know if he loves her back :D I've been very excited to start colouring her ever since she dropped in my mailbox. I used my new papers and ribbon I got today. The card is made following a sketch and the image is coloured with promarkers as always.

I made a bow from the ribbon I used. I have finally gotten a tip on a good way to adhere the ribbons. I used to use a glue, but even though it was supposed to dry clear it left shades on the ribbon. Instead I've started using double sided tape. I tried that before, but I did it with broad tape that I cut myself. It always got crooked. Now I have a thin tape and it's even supposed to work on organza ribbons! It was so much fun working with the ribbon that I think I have found my new favourite embellishment. If you've never tried it you should. Don't be scared of trying, just get yourself a good narrow double-sided tape.

Stamps: Molly and sentiment
Promarkers: ivory, primrose, pastel yellow, forest green, pastel green, turquoise, pastel pink and an old pantone - warm red T (for the flowers)
Papers: making memories, "flower patch"

Thanks for stopping by. I'll see you next week :)

Monday Customer Card Submissions

Every customer, from now to October 31th, that submits their cards to our Monday Customer Submissions will be put into a drawing for $10 in rubber money to be used for their choice of Sweet Pea Stamps. All you need to do is send your card submission to Jennifer. You do not need to send in directions for the card, but they do need to be Sweet Pea Stamps only.

A Sweet Pea Boo to You!!

Hello everyone! Are you making your Halloween cards? Sweet Pea has a great set of Halloween stamps. These images come from Halloween Sheet #1.

Stamp your ghost with permanent black ink onto vellum. I used a vellum print because I think it gives them some depth. Once the ink is dry carefully cut out the ghosts. The card is orange cardstock layered in white and finally in black. I used a Fiskar's punch to make the border. I adhered the ghosts to the black cardstock and stamped "Boo to You" on the right hand side. This card is very simple yet professional looking. I added some sheer black ribbon, but I think white ribbon would look just as good.

Hope you are all inspired to make some great Halloween cards to send out to loved ones this year.

Happy Friday,

Holley

Connie-Loves me, Loves me not

Sweet Pea Plate #14 is packed full of great images!! Check it out by clicking HERE It's ON SALE right now so hurry.........

Supplies:
Sweet Pea Stamps plate #14
Nestabilities "Labels One" by Spellbinders
ribbon from a swap
felt flower by Prima
glitter brad by Oriental Trading
SU! Markers
Corner rounder punch by Creative Memories

I cut the shape in my Cuttlebug and edged with a marker for a border then stamped my image and colored it. I stamped the saying all over a white panel and rounded the corners and cut 2 small ribbon slots, ran ribbon behind and tied. Layered this together and added flower.

Connie-Boo To You!

This card sort of evolved into a monochromatic Halloween one. I began with some images from the Sweet Pea Stamps Halloween Plate #1 coupled with this adorable puffy ghost ribbon I bought long long ago.....

Supplies:
Halloween Plate #1 (Sweet Pea Stamps)
Puffy "Ghost" ribbon (unknown)
Glitter paper (unknown)
circle punch by EK Success
Black/Grey 2 tone cardstock from my stash
cotton ball from my medicine chest
Black Memories dye ink

I began by stamping the vertical saying along the right side and punching out all the O's.
I layered a strip of glitter paper on the inside so it shows behind the punched holes.
I added a piece of the puffy ghost ribbon along the top. I stamped and cut out a ghost image from the Halloween plate and put it on top of a torn up cotton ball to resemble clouds or maybe fog.
I think I like it but maybe it needs something yet?
What do YOU think?
