Are you scared yet?

This is the first time I have played with one of Anna Marine's images and I love it. It is called pumpkin queen. I thought it might be a bit hard using my promarkers for the little details, but it was no problem at all. I put all focus to decorate the image to make it really stand out and left everything else quite simple and in the background.

Hope your Halloween cardmaking is going well. Not much time left now. Are you scared yet?

Halloween's almost here

Hi Everyone, I hope you are having a great day.  I know this time of the year days start flying by even faster than normal, not that the days and years already go by way too fast. Today I have 4 cards to share with you.  The first 2 are images from our artist Teresa Sherman.  For the first one I used "Kissing Butterflies", sheet #3, Plate #192.

For this one I used "Tattoos and Feathers" and she can be found on the same sheet.

For my 3rd card I used and image by Valarie Wade called "Snow Bunnies" and she can be found on sheet #2, Plate #191.

For my last one I made a Halloween card using one of the newest images by our artist Elaine Cox called "Willabelle", and she can only be bought as a single.

I used a mixture of Basic Grey's eek papers, this years Martha Stewart Halloween and Micheal's Recollection
Halloween embellishments.
I colored her with copics and used Twinkling H2o's to paint in the background.

Here is a picture to show some of the sparkle from the Twinkling H2o's.

Halloween is almost here so be safe and have fun taking the kids trick or treating this year.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping in to see my our newest creations.

Hugs:)

Zoe and Adrianna say "Happy Halloween"

Here's two wonderful images from Sweet Pea artist Nikki Burnette. This stamp is "Zoe" (Plate #120) and she's stunning. I added a wonderful Happy Halloween sentiment from the Halloween Sheet #1. I colored the image in beautiful copic markers and added some lace from Istanbul, Turkey and some adorable felted crows. Doesn't this put you in the Halloween mood?
As if you are not ready for Halloween yet, here's the amazing image that I spoke of last week, Adrianna from Plate #189. Isn't she beautiful? I fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it. It was the first stamp in the package that I had to make a card with. I think she will also be useful for Thanksgiving and given the right coloring, even christmas...when do we all want pumpkin pies? I know I want them all fall and winter season long! YUM.

I added a great saying to the card "When witched go riding and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, 'tis near Halloween." I had to add the perfect little black cat to the card and some tiny black buttons to give it a little highlight. What a fun holiday card.

Happy Halloween everyone!

ANNA MARINE'S - CLAUDIA and PUMPKIN QUEEN

My turn to post again and how quick has this week gone by! I have chosen to use another stamp from the stamp plate used last week by Anna Marine - Sheet 4, Plate 186 . This one is called CLAUDIA and is also available as a single stamp.

I have used copics to colours this image and a couple of wax pencils (Prisma and Polychromos). I have gone for a clean Vintage style rather than the grunge style of vintage we usually see. I think this image is so easy to colour and gives a beautiful result.

For further details please feel free to check out my blog here.

Hope I have inspired you - trick is to adapt stamp images to suit your own style - this way they are far more versatile.

I'm also sharing with you another of Anna Marine's stamps called Pumpkin Queen which can be purchased singularly or as part of a stamp sheet of 4 images Sheet 1, Plate 141.
Halloween isn't at all my cup of tea and as a rule I wouldn't chose a Halloween image but this one was a must! Maybe it was the style and the fabulous hair that appealed to me! Anyhow I have great fun colouring this one.

Stamps: Sweetpea - Pumpkin Queen

Best wishes,

Motherhood

Hello fellow Sweet Pea Stamp lovers. Today I want to show you a card I made with one of my actual favourite images. When I saw this one the first time, I LOVED it immediately. No other image can reflect motherlove and motherhood any better as this one. For me it is the perfect image for a 'welcome baby' card.

This image is called 'Shhh Mummies Here' and is from the amazing artist Joanne Schempp. It is available on plate # 178 together with three more fabulous images, but also as a single stamp.

And this sweet image is so great to colour. I had lots of fun playing with it. I coloured it with Distress Inks on 300 gram watercolour papers. The designer papers are by Authentique. Also the postal stamps are a part of this paper pad. The die is from Spellbinders and the flowers from Wild Orchid. The other items are from my stash. To give the image some more effect I added some glitter to some parts.

Thank you so much for your visit. Always so much apprechiated.
Have a magical day!
Hugs, Karina

Wendi - by Elaine Cox

This is one of the new images drawn by Elaine Cox for Sweet Pea Stamps.  Her name is Wendi.  She is an individual stamp but goes well with the other one Willabelle.

I am a bit sad the Halloween is so close. I just love playing with all of the stamps from Sweet Pea Stamps that are Halloween themed or can be made to be Halloween themed. Guess it is time to break out the collection of Holiday images, good thing I love those too!!!

Dream of Dahlia

Hello everyone.
I am so glad you could join me today.
I have a little gift project to share with you all today.

I have a lot of family interstate who miss out on seeing my girls grow up, and all of their little award ceremonies and recitals. So sometimes I do up a CD/DVD to capture these memories and send it to my loved ones so that they don't miss out on all the action.
This time, I thought I would make a CD Gift Card to make it that little bit more special.
That gorgeous stamp is ching-chou kuik's Dream of Dahlia.
Here is a photo of the inside of the card
And finally a photo of the CD/DVD safely housed in its little pocket.
So fill a DVD with home movies or photos and send it to your loved one's interstate.  It won't be as good as them being there, but it will bring them one step closer.
And with Christmas just around the corner what could be a quicker and easier gift.

Thank you so much for joining me today.
Hugs
Renee
