Tera presents 'All Aboard' by Holly Durr

       Hallo,

Showing off a little Halloween decoration for you today - I made this from a plaque that is about 8.5 inches wide and almost 12 inches tall.
I used this great image from Holly Durr called 'ALl aboard' and colored her with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
I am in a Halloween mood and the colors I colored her with seem perfect for Halloween too - even though I didn't plan that when I colored her :)
I used some Halloween chandelier paper and some Halloween chipboards - sprayed with glimmer mist and then rubbed with walnut distress ink - behind her and edged all the panels with copper metallic pen. I added some fun Halloween embellishments and the flowers I sprayed with glimmers mists too and added a pretty metallic flower too and a couple rhinestones for a bit more bling.
I used a Halloweeen mask to have her hold instead of a ticket.
All for today - Have a great Halloween!!!

Skeletal Candle Holder

Sweet Pea Stamps

Today is my day to showcase an image from Sweet Pea Stamps and I decided to work with the image Skeletal Candle Holder by Teresa Sherman. This is the creation I submitted as inspiration for One Sweet Challenge, hope you will join in, it is certainly a fun one to do - All Saint Day / Day of the Dead.  I thought it would be rather appropriate to make a candle box gift card for this, only the second one I have ever made and I am pretty pleased with the outcome.

After making the box I then started on the decoration.  The digi image was printed out on metallic paper and I just put a little colour here and there, mainly on the flame.  The background was airbrushed with gold around the flame area.  The black streak you see in the photo is a bit of a boo-boo, it is the reflection from the side of the candle area and is not on the image in real life.

Next I cut out the letters for the word remember, using a Tattered Lace alphabet die, these I then coloured with a silver metallic pen.  I cut the front of the card a little smaller and added a black lace border.  The final part of the decoration was the die cutting of the digi and adding a black glitter border then some leaf swirls using Cheryl Lyn's Tropical-Flourish which I then cut into sections.
For the inside I used a Sizzix die and matt silver paper with black glitter paper for the border, nice and simple but I feel it works great for the overall effect.
So here we have the inside of the finished project.
and the front view.

Ingredients
  • Image -  Skeletal Candle Holder by Teresa Sherman
  • Promarkers
  • Dies - Sizzix 657938, Cheryl Lyn's Tropical-Flourish and Tattered Lace alphabet die
  • Metallic paper, black glitter paper and lace from my stash
Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a happy crafting day ahead :)

Spooky bottles - Maigan Lynn's 'Melowyn' - by Tera

 Hallo,
I have for you today a small collection of spooky bottles. I love bottles and have a habit of collecting interesting ones that I find at the thrift stores and garage sales to the point where I now have probably 3 large rubber bins full of them so when I saw the labels for 'witches brew' and ect in the sale bin at our local A.C.Moore I immediately thought of the bottles.
First I spray painted them black - 2 coats and then I added all the fun stuff.
The main image for both bottles is one of my newer ones by Maigan Lynn called 'Melowyn'.
I colored Melowyn with prismacolor pencils and couldn't resist coloring her 2 different ways.
I glued the images to the bottles along with the labels and added some rhinestones and ribbon and all done. They were such fun to do!!!!
All for me today - Have  a spooky Halloweeen!!!!

Joy is . . . . .

Sweet Pea Stamps

Morning everybody, hope you are having a good day so far :)  Today is my day to showcase and image from Sweet Pea Stamps and I have chosen to use Helena Reis's - Joy is ...Dressed Up For Halloween. A while ago one of the websites that sells dies had a crazy, and I mean crazy sale with up to 70% off - now who could resist, not me.  One of the dies I got was to make rosettes by Tim Holtz, I knew it would come in handy as some point in the future.  Anyway, this project seemed perfect for the use of the die in my Halloween gifts.

To begin with I die cut some pumpkins in gold vinyl and put these in the centre of each rosette.  A wooden skewer was attached to the back and some sweets placed in wee bags and attached with ribbons.  Right that bit done :)  Once the rosettes were made using different brown and orange papers I set to work on everything else.

Next I coloured the fab digi by Helena Reis
 Promarkers used.
Now for a bit of recycling, my empty Bisto gravy container hahahaha.  I covered this with some of the same paper used for a couple of the rosettes.  The top was finished off with some black lace and a die cut spider web added.
There we go, a fun Halloween container with gifts.
Ingredients
  • Image -  Helena Reis's - Joy is ...Dressed Up For Halloween
  • Promarkers
  • Dies - Tim Holtz Rosette, Spellbinders ovals and scalloped ovals, Scrapbooking Table for the web
  • Covering paper, sweets, ribbon and lace from my stash
Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a fun crafting day ahead of you :) :)

Variations Week with Pumpkin Sprite: Aletha’s View

Aletha here and it’s my day for our Variation’s Week featuring Mitzi Sato-Wiuff’s Pumpkin Sprite rubber stamp. Mitzi’s sprites are some of my favorites among her rubber stamps in the Sweet Pea Stamps shop.

I had a lot of fun doing my first Halloween themed card for this year. Pumpkin Sprite was colored with Copics and some added bling was added with glitter pens. Next step was to trim her with a circle die, add black ink around the circle, and mount her on a circle die cut in orange cardstock. This orange die cut has black ink around the outer edge also.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, 00, 04, 11, 21, and R20
Pumpkin body: E08, 29, 31, and YR04
Treat bucket and flower hat: YR20, 21, 23, 24, 27
Leaves and stem: G40, 82, 94, 99
Cat: C1, 5, 7, 9, and black Copic liner
Cats eyes and inside of bucket: YG21m 25
Background: W00, 0, 1, 2, 3

I had a lot of fun with my various dies too. I cut out all the elements and before I detached them from the die I added black ink to the embossed areas. For the bats eyes I decided on some Liquid Pearls. Last embellishment is the pumpkin brad in the upper left corner. After all was done, I decided that Pumpkin Sprite is trying to decide if she wants to go on with her Trick or Treat evening.

My complete recipe for Pumpkin Sprite:
  • Stamp: Pumpkin Sprite rubber stamp by Mitzi
  • Cardstock: SU in Basic Black and Marigold Morning
  • Designer Paper: Gina K’s Spooktacular You!
  • Ink: Black Licorice
  • Liquid Pearls: Daffodil
  • Brad: Teresa Collins Haunted Hallows
  • Dies: Celebrations Pierced Circles, Witche’s Brew, Graveyard Scenes and Shapes, Nested Bats (all Spellbinders)

I wanted to remind you all that we have a monthly challenge at One Sweet Challenge. There are fantastic prizes there. Over at our Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook group, we have a bi-weekly art contest. That prize is one digi stamp from the Sweet Pea Stamps store. You must use a Sweet Pea image, the theme is always “Anything Goes,” and you can enter as many times as you want. Each entry MUST be a new project. How easy is that? For all the upcoming events and sales visit our Sweet Pea Facebook page.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you visit every day for more Sweet Pea inspiration.

Eva the Witch and Sweet Pea Stamps

Hi all! I hope that you had a great weekend. It’s Tuesday and time for me to show you something that I made with a Sweet Pea image. I am on a Teresa Sherman kick this month. For this project I chose Eva the Witch. Eva can be found in digital format and as a rubber stamp.

Eva has been colored with Copics and a few glitter pens. She was then fussy cut and layered on some brown designer paper. I distressed the edges of this brown designer paper.

The background designer paper was distressed and layered on the same brown paper. All of these edges were distressed also. I attached this paper to the black base card. I die cut a spider web and sprayed some shimmer spray all over it. After the web was dry I attached it to the background.

I then added the main element to the card. You really can’t see them, but I die cut some corners in black and added them around Eva. The final embellishments are the roses which were distressed with black soot distress ink.

Have you checked out our One Sweet Challenge? I hope you join us. If you do, and you used a Sweet Pea image, head over to our Facebook’s Group art contest.  The one going on right now lasts until July 7. That gives you plenty of time to make some Sweet Pea goodness.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope that you stop by every day and check out what Sweet Pea’s Design Team has in store for you. If you have any questions, you can always contact me.

Cherry Blossoms

Here's a wonderful Sweet Pea card from artist Connie Fong. This stamp is called Cherry Blossoms (CLICK HERE) and is found on Plate #185. Isn't she stunning? I didn't add a lot of extra flair to this card as the image itself is just beautiful. I can't wait to get more of her images so I can share them with you! As a little extra today, let me show you one more Halloween theme card that I gave out and remind you that there's a bunch of wonderful stamps on sale at the OverStock Sale (CLICK HERE) at the Sweet Pea site. This wonderful image is Terra Bidlespachers Halloween stamp (Plate #155). I added a wonderful saying about black cats to go with the black cats in the image and some fun black cat embellishments. "When black cats prowl and pumpkins gleem, may luck be your on Halloween." I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween season, now we are off to the Fall time!

Cheers, Holley
