Kym's Weekly Post - Sunday 2/3/14

Over at the One Sweet Challenge this month the topic is "scream for green".

Well this was certainly a challenge and a half to make as I really dislike the colour green and very rarely use it as a main colour for my cards.  The image I have used from Sweet Pea Stamps is by Conie Fong and is called "Puppy Love".  It is available as a digital stamp and a rubber stamp.

I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers for a change, used Tea Green for the sky and then added clouds with my blender pen and Ice Grey 1 and Ice Grey 2.  The backing papers are from Summertime Designs.  I have finished the card off with a ivy die-cut from a friend, organza ribbon bow, flowers won in some candy, lace, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and some brads which I have had for years now.

 Here is a card I have made using a Sweet Pea Stamps image by Ching-Chou Kuik called "Cherish Christmas".  It is available as a digital stamp, and a single rubber stamp.  

I have coloured my image in with my Graph'it pens.  The backing papers I was given.  I have finished the card off with a sentiment off the Perfect Companions Christmas CD, poinsettias, washi tape and pearls.

 Hello everyone. I love to show you Gorgeous image by Conie Fong "Puppy Love"at Sweet Pea Stamps For this card i used Digital image, but if you wish, you can have it in Rubber Stamp. Oh isn't she lovely??? I colored her with Copic Markers and skin with Prisma Pencils. Shape of my card i cut out with my Cricut. For the fence i used Die

This is one of the recently released stamps from Conie Fong called PUPPY LOVE.  This is one of the four stamps (Conie Fong's sheet 3, Plate 204) available here.


I will try and add some other photo's later as I haven't as yet done the inside of the card!

I must add I have just purchased the perfect edges and perfect square for cutting perfect matting and layering etc. although as yet  I haven't quite got the hang of them.  I'm in the middle of trying different craft knife's and cutting tools.  So far I have had no luck with the Tim Holtz craft knife as the blade isn't deep enough so the blade doesn't go deep enough and you finish up sawing away to cut the edge!  I've also tried a rotary cutter which I originally bought for cutting fabric - again I'm not to skilled with this either.  I have found that both work ok if using very thin cardstock but struggle with cardstock of 300 gsm.

 Today I wanted to share with you 4 cards that I created using all of Conie Fong's new images form her newest sheet, Sheet #3 Plate #204.

This first one is called "Yuki".

 Here are the copic colors I used for her .

  This one is called "Abbie".

Here is the colors I used one Abbie.
