Ching-Chou Kuik - Iris Grace

Here is a card I have made using a Sweet Pea Stamps image by Ching-Chou Kuik called "Iris Grace".  This image is available as a digital stampsingle rubber stamp and as part of a multi-image plate (Sheet 53, Plate 248 - Iris Grace comes on the multi-image sheet with Tropical Queen, Bird of Paradise and Sparkling Angel).

The image I have coloured in with Promarkers/Flexmarkers, highlighted areas with my Sakura Stardust clear pen and distressed around with Tim Holtz's Brushed Corduroy distress ink.
I used a Spellbinders scalloped circle to cut the aperture out of the front of the card.  I then cut out the same shape from a piece of corrugated brown card.  It took a few times to get it to cut as it was quite thick but it did it in the end.  I then painted the die-cut shape with some acrylic paint and then distressed.

The backing papers I have used in conjunction with kraft card are from the Polkadoodles Double Sprinkles of Kraft Cd-Rom.  The the papers/embellishments have been distressed with Tim Holtz's Brushed Corduroy distress ink.  The card has been finished off with various die-cut shaped, peel-off sentiment and flowers with peel-off circle centres.

Tropical Queen by ching chou kuik

I hope everyone’s having a great week. So far mine is going great.

I have an art card for you this week here at Sweet PeaStamps (SPS). Of course it is from one of my favorite artist, ching chou kuik, and is titled Tropical Queen. You can find Tropical Queen in digi format, which is what I used on the project, or as a rubber stamp on Plate #248.

Tropical Queen was first colored with Copics, and added some glam with Spicas and a pearl pen. I then die cut the image with a deckled die. I added Gathered Twigs DI and mounted on cardstock.

Copics used:
Skin: BV0000, E000, 11, and R20
Hair: E41, 43, 47
R20, 22, 29
B93, 95, 97, 99
BG23
G82, 94, 99
Y32, 35, 38
YR61, 65, 68

This card has a lot of dimension to it. I love adding 3-D paint to my handmade embellishments. The die-cut flowers and butterfly were enhanced with metallic lime green.  For more information on this project, please visit my blog.

Bird of Paradise

Hello everyone, after a two week absence from my craft desk because of health reasons I finally was able to create again. Missed it while that time. Today I have a new card I finished last weekend. The image already was coloured and waited to turn into a project. I had a play with one of ching-chou kuik's gorgeous images; 'Bird of Paradise'. She is available as a single stamp, as a digital stamp and on Plate # 248 together with three other amazing images.

Below you can see a close up of the image. I coloured it with Copics.

Thank you so much for looking! Wish you a wonderful week.
Hugs, Karina

She is amazing... love her and she is much fun to create. Although mine looks more as an Ice Queen :o). She is available as a single stamp and on Plate # 248 together with three other gorgeous images. And she is also available as a Digi Stamp.

I coloured her with Copics and the Papers I used are from BoBunny. I also added some Fran'tage around the image.

Bird of Paradise

Aletha here with one of ching chou kuik’s new digis, Bird of Paradise. Check out the other new images that she has. If you are a rubber lover, you will need to get the set of four, plate no. 248, for your collection. If you like one stamp you will love the rest, one is not enough.

I think that I may have gone a little overboard on the roses, but I needed something that would make the colors pop that I used in the image. It worked.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E11, E13, BV000
Hair: Y11, Y21, E97, E99
Bird of Paradise:
G40, G82, G94, G99
BV01, BV02, BV04, BV08
R02, R05, R08, Y32, Y38
YR12, YR14, YR18
Background: W00, W0, W1, W23, BV02, Y32, blender

My cardstock is from Stampin’ Up! Ribbon and roses are from my stash. I did add a touch of Crystal Stickles. One of my favorite dies, Cheery Lynn Designs mini flourish, added the final touch of brown.

You still have seven days to enter our challenge at OneSweet Challenge. The theme is use buttons and ribbon. I hope we see you there.

I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.
