Autumn Harvest

I hope that you all are having a very creative week. This is my first project for the week and I would like to introduce you to one of Ching Chou Kuik’s digis, Autumn Harvest. This beautiful image is also available in rubber. Search for Plate #57.

Autumn Harvest was colored with Copics and trimmed with Spellbinder’s A2 Curved Matting Basics B. For more depth I added Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap, Spiced Marmalade, and Seedless Preserves, to the border.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E11, E13, R20
Hair: E50, E53, E43, E57, E49
Other:
BV20, BV23, BV25
G21, G24, G29
Y08, Y19
YR00, YR02, YR12, YR15, YR18
W0, W00, W1, W2
Colorless Blender

I added the butterfly as an afterthought.  Now that I am looking at it photographed, I think that I needed to add something darker to the edges. The butterfly was cut with Cheery Lynn’s Exotic Butterfly Small #2. I colored it with DI in Spiced Marmalade and Seedless Preserves.

The backdrop for Autumn Harvest is Spellbinder’s Locking Loops. I love the Oriental feel of this die. The bling and flowers are from my stash.

Sweet Pea Stamps has some new Ching Chou Kuik’s digis. Don’t you need to go shopping? I know that I do. Thanks for stopping by.

The Silentness

The Silentness is a ching-chou kuik image that I love to use for horizontal cards.  She just looks so peaceful and is such fun to color.  The Silentness  can be purchased individually in rubber or digi or the full plate #57 in rubber with three other amazing images!

Autumn Harvest

Here's a stunning ching chou kuik image called Autumn Harvest. I just love it. I colored her in rich fall colors of purple and blue and then found matching cardstock to go with it. I had a wonderful fall theme embellishment set with beautiful autumn leaves and pumpkin accents.
It also came with a paper-clip with the word "Fall" on it. I clipped it to the top of my colored image and added a highlight behind it. The shimmery papers all sparkle in the light. This stamp is called Autumn harvest and it is sold individually or on Plate #57. Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving this year. I bet you can all guess what my favorite thanksgiving item is (*hint it's shown in the stamp). Yep, it's pumpkin. Pumpkin ANYTHING--pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bagels, pumpkin muffins, ....ahhhh BRING IT ON!

Have a wonderful holiday! Cheers all, Holley

Multi coloured blocking

I've had so much fun playing with today's card. It's a technique I've never used before I think and I came up with it all on my own (although I had inspiration) I'm proud of it and thought I'd share it with you.

If you're not very happy with your colouring of the sweetpea images  - you don't have to be! There are so many ways to use your stamps and this is one of them.

I started by inking different stamps in different bold coloured inks on white paper and embossing them with clear embossing powder. After the powder has cooled off I inked the whole image with a contrasting colour with a direct-to-paper technique (which means you dab the inkpad directly on the paper) When I was happy with the result I wiped the images to remove any ink that was left on the raised embossed part. This will make the images pop. Finally I cut out different sized blocks and mounted them together. I added the little ribbon and bow to add some more interest to the card.

It's a super easy technique and I hope you'll give it a go. All you need is some embossable inks (I used small versacolor) and some clear embossing powder. Have fun!

Little Stars Witch

Happy Halloween! Continuing with my love of the season, I am making another Halloween theme card. This cute witch was designed by artist Elaine Cox and is called Little Stars Witch. She comes on a wonderful plate (plate #59) full of Halloween images along with adorable owl images that are good for all sorts of themes. The wonderful saying on this card comes from another sheet of Elaine Cox stamps, plate #67, to go with the saying, I added some adorable dimensional black cat stickers and some bling that was sparkly and black as well as some glitter on the cats and some bling to the flowers. Hope you have a wonderful time making your own Halloween cards!
Cheers, Holley

I Miss You

I have a super quick post for you today. I love this new image from Sweet Pea Stamps. These images are SO much fun to color. This particular image is called The Silentness and I think she's gorgeous. I colored the image with copics, then added Stardust Stickles (my fave, I love the sparkle). Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from The Paper Co. (I got it at Michael's). I added a bow, pearls, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is also from Sweet Pea Stamps. What do you think?

Well, thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day! :)

Hugs, Christine :)

The Details:
Stamp: Autumn Harvest - ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection (sheet 20, Plate 57) - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: Bo Bunny, Basic Black, Whisper White (SU), White for image (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

The Silentness

As a mom- the name of this stamp "The Silentness" just sounds fabulous to me. I can imagine a million different things.

However, The Silentness is an image drawn by ©ching-chou kuik's for Sweet Pea Stamps Fantasty Art Collection. This beautiful sentiment is also on the same plate #57 with the image.

I created this card in the same manner as most others. I selected the image, them the paper then began to color. Once that was finished, I just began to put it together and see where I ended up. I did refer to a sketch to start this time. I have this card sitting on my mantel, and am enjoying looking at it. I will put it in my next box of cards to Operation Write Home, but until then, I am just enjoying the peacefulness it gives off.

Connie-The Silentness

I have been itching to get this stamp by ching-chou kuik inked for some time now.
I stamped it with Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.
Then punched a 1 inch circle, masked a sun and sponged dye inks for the background.
I cut the mat from a silvery cardstock with my Creative Memories cutting system
and mounted it together.
But I felt it still needed something....
I stamped the word from plate #54, added a pillow sticker by K & Company and some small gems by Kaiser.
Still needs more......
I stamped one of the wings on a scrap of vellum and cut a little tab which I folded
beneath for dimension and to attach it as well.  It pops up very nicely
but of course my scanner is squashing it flat.
I added 3 tiny black gems in a corner and figured
I better quit before I overloaded it.

You can see the newest Sweet Pea stamps by clicking:

There are a number of totally beautiful images that just came out so be sure to check them out!
Thanks for stopping by!

Little Black Unicorn

Do not adjust the color of your screen. My little black unicorn is white :).

This is one of the newer images by Elaine Cox for Sweet Pea Stamps and is part of Plate #55 and I think it is so sweet. I colored her to coordinate with the background paper. I wanted some texture so ran the circle through the cuttlebug and distressed it with some light blue chalk ink. It is rather glaring in the photo, but in reality the felt heart matches the pink in the unicorn's main and tail. I wish the picture was more accurate. Evidently I need to learn some new photography techniques for felt! The sentiment is from Plate #57.
