I love the dramatic colors on this card! The lilies are colored with Copics to match the ones in the image! I hadn't used black ink for distressing before and really like how it worked on this. I also used a black Sakura gelly pen to give the flourishes some shine. Lots of texture on this one!

Connie-Foxy Lady

This card just sort of came together on its' own.

I began with an image by ching-chou kuik "Fox Allure"
which you will find on plate #64 or by clicking below:

I cut an oval shape from white glossy and ran my brayer over to give it color, then cut another oval
without the fancy edging (to fit inside the first oval).  I cut another oval and put just part of that over my dp paper, cut one corner with a punch & layered this all together.
Then I added pink rhinestones and pearls to the little ovals around my frame.

Supplies used:
corner punch by EK Success
Nestie "Beaded Ovals" by Spellbinders
dp "Bittersweet" by Basic Grey
Creative Memories cutting system
Rhinestones & pearls by Basic Grey
Copic markers
Blending Blox inkpads by Marvy
Tuxedo Black inkpad by Memento

There you have it.  Basically a "flat" card that uses
shapes to get your attention rather than bling.

Thanks for looking,
Connie

Holiday Fox Allure

I have a habit (I can't make up my mind if it's a good habit or a bad one...) of deciding to color an image without getting any info on it. What I mean by that is I don't look at the original art to see how the artist colored it and if I don't remember the name of it, I don't look at that either until afterwards. So, when I started this I thought "Oooh, I really want to make a Christmas card with this gorgeous wolf image." (Totally off topic, but I am currently reading this Young Adult werewolf series right now, where the trigger to "shift" is cold weather not the full moon.) Anyway, I finished it up and then saw the stamp is called "Fox Allure"! When I showed it to my DH he said,"Of course it's a fox!" But he did agree it could look like a very dainty wolf!

I colored the image with Copics and added a little stickles for sparkle. I painted the chipboard snowflakes with Pewter Crackle paint first and then added some stickles on top after the paint had dried.

The Details:
Stamp: Fox Allure (ching chou kuik Plate 64) Sentiment from Holiday Collage Sheet (Plate 50) - both from Sweet Pea Stamps

Connie-Solitary Dream

You know how sometimes you want to use a certain element
in a card?  And then you wonder why you just
had to use it?  And then you have trouble
making it work, fit, adhere?
Well, this card is all of the above!

I found this pretty pink girly ribbon at Walmart and
built this card around it.

I stamped the lovely ching-chou kuik image
"Solitary Dream" from plate #64 and colored with Copic markers.
Then I began layering and embellishing.
I used the pretty Offray Tulle ribbon, paper lace by K & Co.
Gold Leafing pen by Krylon, pearls and charm are
anonymous.

Hurry and go check out the Sweet Pea site for some great
new artists and greater stamp debuts coming soon!

Thanks for looking,
Connie

Lily Dream

For my card today, I decided to ink up this absolutely gorgeous image from Sweet Pea Stamps. This particular image is called Lily Dream and I think she is absolutely gorgeous. I had so much fun coloring her up. I colored her with copics and then sponged around the image with SU's Bashful Blue ink using my blending tool. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from The American Paper Co. (I got it at Michael's). For some finishing touches, I added a bow (tied with my Bow Easy tool), pearls, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today, thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs, Christine

Angela, Silk Dance ,Coral Immersion, The Dragonfly and Fox Allure

I created 4 cards I wanted to share with you. This first one is called Silk Dance by ching chou kuik's Sheet #19/Plate #54 at Sweet Pea Stamps.

The DP is from Glitz Design called Diva Licious. I used the Spellbinders Classic Frame Die to create my frame and covered it pink glitter glue. I drew in alittle more of her tail and her hip and leg area. Then I cut her out and attached her with foam tape. I added some Black bling swirls and some Wild Orchid Craft roses that I added some glitter glue and glitter to.

This picture shows some of the depth I created with her.
Copics:

Skin: E11,E01,E00,E000,RV02,RV00
Black shades: C9,C7,C5,C3,C01,C0
Pink Shades: RV09,RV06,RV04,RV02,RV00,RV000

Here is my second card I created. I have had these image colored for over 2 months and finally sit down to create with her. This image is called Coral Immersion by ching chou kuiks sheet #12/ plate #41 at Sweet Pea Stamps. I used some In My Minds Eye DP that I cut out the circle and flowers and attached them to some dark coral CS then I used my sewing machine to add the stitching around the edge of the card. I added some Fiskars cream bubble dots and the sentiment is from another ching chou kuiks set.

It has been so hot and sunny here, that I decided to take these pictures outside. I finished these early this morning before I went to bed for the night, as I usually take my pictures at night. Only because by the time I get my creation finished its dark outside. I really like the way they look when I can take the pics outside.

Another view!!

Coral Reds: R29,R27,R24,R22,R20,R11
Background: BG02,BG01,BG000,BG0000

For this card I used " The Dragonfly" circle stamp by ching chou kuiks at Sweet Pea Stamps. I love these new circle stamps!!

I used some K&Company Dp, MS border punch, flower from Wild Orchid Crafts, the decorative part around the image was created with a small die from on of my Spellbinders Pendant dies. I added some gold bling to the die around the image and some gold Organdy ribbon. The was colored with copics and I used and orange sakura glitter pen. I used a new skin colored combo, well to me it's new (R30,R01,R00,R0000). Hair (E07,E08,E09,E19,E18,E51) Background(Y21,Y23,YR32,E50,E51)

Here is my 4th card. I had the hardest time getting a good picture.. this was the best I could get. I used Fox Allure for this card and she is available as a single or you can get her in a set with 3 other images( Sheet #22/ Plate #64) at Sweet Pea Stamps.
For this card I used some old Basic Grey DP, American Crafts brown CS, My Minds Eye orange DP, Kraft CS that I inke with distressing inks for the frame for my image. I added some Prima leaves and the roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I also added some Orange bling and some felt flower looking things.

It will end on Sept 2.

Connie-Sweet Pea STUFF

GIVEAWAY ON MY BLOG!

Click on my name in the DT line-up, go to my blog and sign up for a NEW whole sheet of Sweet Pea stamps! All details are on my blog. OR you could click on the link below:

Here is my final Stuff Swap card. I began with a pretty Sweet Pea image colored with Copic markers.
I layered it over some dp after punching an edge. Layered that over another dp and onto the craft base.
I think this image was intended to be stamped in a horizontal position, but I like it much better upright!

The "Stuff" used for this card was flowers. We had to use them in any way, any style or number for the Stuff Swap. I only had room for one as it was very big. Of course it is a Prima "Calypso".

I used my "new" Viva Decor pen "Black Pearl" to make tiny pearls along the Martha Stewart punched edge. A portion of the verse that comes with this plate #64 was inked and stamped onto a word window
punched piece and matted with black. A faceted black gem sits in the flower center.

If you are thinking of getting a Viva Decor pen I will tell you they are well worth the price. I was able to make some very tiny faux pearls that do not look handmade and of course were much easier to place exactly where I wanted!
