Standing Pretty

Sweet Pea stamps has new stamps on Plate # 220 from artist Marion Teunissen.  Here's one of her stamps called Standing Pretty.  Isn't she gorgeous?  All of the images on her first sheet of stamps are stunning.  I just love the detail in her drawings.  Be sure to drop by the store and check them all out.
Here's a slightly enlarged image of the colored version of the image from my card, the stamp shown on the card above, which is 6" square, is approx 2.25" x 4";  I colored this image using Copic Markers.
Drop by the Sweet Pea store and see the amazing sales going on!

Have a wonderful weekend of crafting. I hope this card inspires you to pick up your rubber stamps and make a card.  Be sure and check out all the great Halloween stamps, I can't wait to show you all of the fun halloween theme goodies I have to share.

Cheers, Holley

Connie-Pretty Bell

This is just one of Elisabeth Bell's delightful images.
You can see all of her adorable stamps by clicking

This one is titled
"Standing Pretty"

I colored her with Copic markers and cut
a Spellbinders shape "Scalloped Ovals"
then sponged Distress inks for a background tint.

Some white cotton ribbon by Wrights and
some unknown background papers were all the bling she needed
in my view.

Be sure to check out all the pretty images over
at the
Sweet Pea Stamps
 site.
They are having a dandy sale right now too!!

Standing Pretty

Hi everyone, hope you all had a wonderful and lightful Christmas time. Now we are counting the days till the changing of the Year... not far to go...

Before I want to show you my recent card I made with this oh so sweet image by the fabulous artist Elisabeth Bell called 'Standing Pretty'. After quite some red, green, gold and blue tones I used lately for doing Christmassy and wintery cards I gave a go with pink... so it even looks more springlike. Well, as for me I am happy that the shortest day of the year is past again and the days are going to be longer again.

I made a shaker card this time and quite like how it turned out. I coloured the image with Distress Inks.

Here's a close up of the image... it is a bit difficult to photograph the image behind the window.

Here a close up after shaking...
I wish everyone a very happy NEW YEAR 2012!!!

Hugs, Karina

Some beautiful cards with Elisabeth Bell

Here's a beautiful stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps by artist Elisabeth Bell called Sitting with Teddy. As the saying on the card says that's "as good as it gets." Wouldn't it be wonderful if all our lives could be as simple as that nowadays? Just sitting down with our teddy bear and realizing that life is now as good as it gets? Ah, growing up can be hard. But I will say, sitting down and making this card makes me smile and think, yep, this is as good as it gets!Sweet Pea just released some new images from Elisabeth Bell too, be sure to check them out, they are all on sale at the store this week. I can't wait to get mine. Here's another very simple and clean style card using a wonderful stamp called Standing Pretty.
This card uses a wonderful Elisabeth Bell stamp that I colored with Copic markers in beautiful shades of blue. Then I matched the card colors to the shades of blue used on the coloring. I added simple blue embellishments to create a quick and refreshing card. Wouldn't you love to give this cute card to someone? I can think of all sorts of wonderful sentiments that would go with this little girl, look at the adorable expression on her face!

Be sure to check out the Elisabeth Bell images at the Sweet Pea store.

Have a great week everyone!

Who doesn't love litte girls....

especially this adorable little girl from artist Elisabeth Bell:

This sweetie is Standing Pretty. Absolutely adorable and easy and quick to color.
Now if only I could say the same thing about card design..... I used some old My Minds Eye paper and Basic Gray chipboard flower. The sentiment is a rub-on which continues on the inside of the card with "Happy Anniversary".

Be sure to check out the latest Elisabeth Bell stamps which are available for pre-order....NOW.... at Sweet Pea Stamps.

FEATURED ARTIST - ELISABETH BELL

In honour of our spotlight artist I have used 5 of the 6 stamps available at Sweetpea stamps.  The first two are from Elisabeth's first collection of rubber stamps - all available as single stamps. There are three to chose from - I've used two of them and have the third one on order.

The first one is called Kiki with Dolly and is just so cute. I just had to have this one! It's wonderful how stamps can invoke memories and this one makes me smile as my son loved the beach when he was small.

I have tried to create the feeling of summer holidays using a number of dies - such as Film strip and ticket dies as well as the flowers and flourishes.

And the finished card.

The next one is called Little Curls and has to be my most wanted stamp - having seen it as a pencil sketch. I was just so pleased when it was made into a rubber stamp and had to use it straight away!

I'm not sure why I found it so compelling - maybe it's the wonder of being young and full of wonder! Or my son wouldn't thank me for
saying he had the most wonderful curly hair
which he still has of course and had he been
a girl could have had his hair styled just like this!

And now the finished card. I hope you think I have done this fabulous stamp justice!

And these final three are from her latest collection available here at Sweetpea stamps.
This one is called Sweet is Summer and is available as a singel stamp.

Again what can I say about this beautiful image - another one I was waiting for!

I love this image and how versatile it is to use by just changing the colour scheme and you have a totally different looking project. I love the bright vibrant colours you get in the summer and appear on swimming costumes - probably the only time we wear such bright colours together!
My next card to share is Standing Pretty by Elisabeth Bell available here.
Another Cutie must have! Below is the finished card.
And the final one of this collection is Music Box.
I used the backing paper and paper pieced her dress then added a gold stickles glue. All details of how these are made are available on my blog site here.

All of these stamps are available as single stamps so if you've seen one you like why not pop over to the Sweetpea stamps on-line shop and check out the gorgeous stamps there!

Hope you have felt inspired and don't forget to check out the fabulous stamps at Sweetpea and all the wonderful talented artists there. Check back regularly here to see the DT inspiration.

Best wishes,
