Variations Week: Alex's View

When the Design Team decided to all use Plate #217 by Teresa Sherman to see how different our creations were, I instantly thought 'invitation' when I saw this map image.  Having sons, I have done more than one Pirate theme birthday party.  How perfect is this invitation?

To get the aged and crumpled look, I stamped the image with staz-on ink on white card stock.  I cut it out, wet it down, crumpled it up and then sprayed it with walnut ink.  I then left it to dry overnight and awoke to what you see here.  I love it!

Don't forget to send in your creations for Customer Submission Week!

Get Inky!

Variation's Week: Angela's View

Hi everyone, today I show you my view of Teresa Sherman's Plate # 217. We have just started a new project this week and I love that each of us are using the same images. The best thing is that they will all be different, each in our own style.

Here is my take using both of Teresa Sherman's images.

Today you can pick this sheet up for only $10.80 (plus there are some awesome coupon codes/shipping options that make it even better!).

These images are perfect for male cards.  My son loves these images.
Well I hope you like my take on these images.
Have a wonderful Day.

Hugs:)

Variations Week - Sharon's view

Join in with us - what will you come up with

Here's mine inspiration using the map stamp from Teresa Sherman's sheet 8, Plate 217 -  and I've used another Sweet pea stamp Joanne Schempp's Ancient One with it.  I've had this Pirate stamp for some time now and not used it so thought this would be the ideal opportunity.

I must admit this has all been totally out of my comfort zone but funny doing.

For more information please check out my blog here.

Best wishes,

Variations Week: Connie's View

Here is my interpretation of this fabulous plate by Teresa Sherman.
I chose to do 2 different cards using one stamp on each.

Below is my "Map Card"

Papers are by DCWV "All About Boys"
Color by Copic
I looked everywhere for a brass anchor to add and
finally had to settle for a plastic sword....the
starfish looks authentic at least.

Here is my "Pirate Card"

I used another sheet of the DCWV papers on this card and
also cut the words from the first card's paper and
framed them in a Spellbinder die "Fancy Tags"
I added a little gold glitz with a metallic gel pen by Pentel.

Be SURE to check this

artist out for some really great stamps!

Variations Week: Karina's View

Hi everyone, today I show you my view of Teresa Sherman's Plate # 217. I love this new project we just started, when each teamie is creating with the same image, so let's say 'same but different', then this will be for sure, although we use the same image, each project will be different.

I used papers from 'Glitz' for my background. The image is coloured with Copics. First I treated the map with some Distress Inks, then with a match to give this burnt effect around the edges.

Here's a close up of the image.

Well, have a wonderful day now! Come back to see what the other teamies come with. And hey, you can get this plate for only $10.80 now.
Hugs, Karina

Variations Week: Jennifer's View

Today we would like to welcome you to a new feature, at Sweet Pea Stamps, called Variations Week. One week a month the Design Team will all create a project using the same stamp image. For the inaugural week, we have chosen a new sheet from the Teresa Sherman collection Plate #217. Today you can pick this sheet up for only $10.80 (plus there are some awesome coupon codes/shipping options that make it even better!).

I would like to share my take on the images today with a quick card using both stamps.

The papers come from Glitz (French Kiss) and the images were colored with copics. Thanks for stopping by today!
