Variations Week: Holley's View

Today is my day to share this wonderful stamp from artist Anna Marine called Mystery (Plate #186).  This stamp is just stunning. I know by now you have seen many different looks from all the designers here at Sweet Pea.  Here's my take on this amazing stamp.
This woman is just stunning. I see her looking out and just remembering and hoping for something to return.  I added a wonderful fabric label to the bottom right corner. I am using some yummy gold embellished paper and colored the image with Copic Markers.  I just love all of Anna Marine's images.  She makes everything from pretty and haunting looking beauties to those stunning sexy ladies that make you want to create a card for the hubby.  Check out her images at the Sweet Pea store.

Cheers, Holley

Variations Week: Alex's View

I love variations week.  It is wonderful to see all the different creations by the DT with the same image.  I love that everyone's style really shines through.  I also love being challenged to use a specific image.  Not that anything at Sweet Pea Stamps is a stretch for me to use, but it is nice to use one I might not have in the past.

I have paired Mystery by Anna Marine with some autumn colored paper from Bo Bunny and a fountain die cut.  I am quite pleased with the end result.  What would you create with this image?

Variations Week: Karina's View

Hello everyone, we have variations week again. This time we all from the design team created with Anna Marine's fabulous image called 'Mystery'. It is available as a single stamp, as Digi, and on Plate # 186 together with three more beautiful images. I am so curious to see what everyone has created. I wanted to keep my card in black and red tones, so I also coloured the image in those colours. I did the colouring with Copics.

Here is a close up of the image...

Have a wonderful day!

Holley's Blog candy

It's celebration time here at Sweet Pea stamps and today Holley's Blog is announcing that to drop by and some candy! This wonderful 3 year anniversary is also coinciding with me and my hubby's anniversary which is this weekend. With that in mind, I had to use this gorgeous stamp to make an Ooo La La card to make him smile. The bottom is covered is lucious lace with roses embedded in it.

This stamp is from artist Anna Marines Collection and is called Violet (Plate #186). Wouldn't this make a pretty anniversary card? I will also say there's 10 bling in black, that's for the 10 years that we have been married. Here's one more subtle thing about this card that no one else would get but me and him, the eyes on this woman are actually two shades of grey. They are small, so you don't see it well here, but my husband's eyes are a faint blueish grey shade. I always think of him when I do grey eyes.

Here's a close-up of that gorgeous lace. I love it that the lace on her outfit has roses too. I could so imagine this lace being on her outfit.

Hope you enjoyed this card and I hope you will celebrate with Sweet Pea for their 3 years of wonderful stamp making!! Please drop by Holley's Blog , http://holleybarnhartsblog.blogspot.com/ and sign up by leaving a comment on the posting with this Sweet Pea card, which will be posted Wed, the 25th, signups will be taken all week and I will announce my blog candy winners next Wed, May 2nd!

Cheers, Holley

Claudia

Here's a stunning image from the artist of the week, Anna Marine. This wonderful image is called Claudia. She is sold individually or on Plate #186. It's hard to see on the card, but I also used a very light chalk ink to stamp in the words "MISS YOU" on the top and the bottom of the card. Here's a close up of the stamped image colored in copic marker:Isn't she a beauty? I just love how she turned out. Be sure to check out all of Anna Marine's images on the website since they are on sale this week. Also, there's some brand new images added from Artist Elisabeth Bell. I know I have put those on my Christmas list as must get products!

Have a great week!

Having fun with my Stamps and Copics

Hi Everyone, today I have 3 cards to share with you.  This past weekend I watched movies with the kids and just got lost in coloring.  I did manage to make quite a few cards and here are 3 of them.
These first 2 cards I used stamps by our artist Anna Marine.  I don't know about you but I am In Love with her artwork and so afraid to color them that I would never be able to do them justice.  Well be afraid no more as you can get lost in your coloring and realistic of her images.
For this one I used "Claudia" and she can be bought as a single or on Sheet #4,Plate #186.

Here is close up of this beautiful image.  I really love her face and her puffy lips, not ot mention her corn rolls or Dread Locks, nto for sure what they are.

For my second one I used another image by Anna Marine called "Mystery" and she can be found on the same plate, plate #186.

I used some of my favorite papers from Glitz.  I love the green and black together.

For my last card I used and image by Joanne Schempp called "Erin Irish Mermaid" and she can be purchased as a single or on Sheet #10, Plate #178.

I used a mat stack from K&Company and all the embellishments is also from K&Company except for the flowers they are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Oh and I added Perfect Pearls to the pearls in her hair.
Don't look to close on her shoulder as I let some of the purple bleed into her skin.

So next time you have a lazy day of watching TV/Movies, get out your stamps and coloring mediums and have fun.
Remember this week we have all Meredith Dillmans stamps on sale.  Go HERE to check them out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.
Hugs:)

Another Busy Creative Weekend

I hope everyone is doing well today.  I also hope you are loving all the new artist and stamps that have hit The Sweet Pea store.  I know I am.. I just can never pick which one I want to color first so I color a lot of them and then sit down and start creating.  When I color any of my Sweet Pea Stamps I am taken to another place.. a place of calmness and everything around me is tuned out.
I have 4 cards to share with you today.  This first one is called "Jeweled" by ching chou kuiks sheet #27 Plate #86. I used some of the new DCWV paper stack called "Lemon Flower.  I cut out some of the decorative paper and used it as embellishments around the image. I also added some bead sprigs from Hobby Lobby's wedding department and colored the image with Copics.

For my 2nd card I used one of Terra Bidlespacher's images called "Along Came A Spider", sheet #4 plate # 136.
I used some Hedi Grace DP, Sizzix Die's, jeweled beads and colored the image with copics.

For my 3rd card I used one of  Meredith Dillman's images called "Peridot", sheet #6, Plate #137.

For my 4th and last card I used one of ching chou kuik's images called "The Black Swan", and she is one a sheet by herself with 2 sentiments, sheet 35, plate 134.

All images was colored with copics.  I have a ton of images colored so be prepared to see a lot of cards from me each week.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.
