Raven Soul by Ching Chou Kuik

This is my current favorite from Ching Chou Kuik. It's actually fairly simpel, but with so many possibilities. Could give the wings rainbow colors. Or white dove. I chose to go for a more dark, goth like card, that still retains a girly look from the purple and pink.

As always, I used Copics to color her in:
Skin E0000, E000, E00, E11
Wings: V91, V93, V95, V99
Hair: T3, T5, T7, T9
Eyes: V01, V04, V05, V09

After coloring her in, I fuzzy cut around her and popped her up on foam dots. I really like how it adds shadows and dimension to the card. The rest came together afirly quickly, with a few flowers, a bow and some dew drops.

Eva the Witch and Sweet Pea Stamps

Hi all! I hope that you had a great weekend. It’s Tuesday and time for me to show you something that I made with a Sweet Pea image. I am on a Teresa Sherman kick this month. For this project I chose Eva the Witch. Eva can be found in digital format and as a rubber stamp.

Eva has been colored with Copics and a few glitter pens. She was then fussy cut and layered on some brown designer paper. I distressed the edges of this brown designer paper.

The background designer paper was distressed and layered on the same brown paper. All of these edges were distressed also. I attached this paper to the black base card. I die cut a spider web and sprayed some shimmer spray all over it. After the web was dry I attached it to the background.

I then added the main element to the card. You really can’t see them, but I die cut some corners in black and added them around Eva. The final embellishments are the roses which were distressed with black soot distress ink.

Sweet Pea Stamps

Hello folks, here I am again with another creation for  Sweet Pea Stamps.  Today I am sharing with you my DT creation using the digi Holly Bow by Karen Middleton.

To begin with I cut two holly leaves with my Merry Christmas sentiment and daughter/SIL names.

Next I fancied something plush so used some sticky back red velvet I bought from some strange back street <g>.

After printing the digi I coloured with Promarkers.

Promarkers used

I used Spellbinders Adorning Squares as my die and then airbrushed the background with Forest Green Promarker

Now to emboss a mount and then cut with Spellbinders Grand Squares

Time to make the bow to attach the tag sentiments to.

And here we have the finished creation.  You can see I also added some red lace, pearls and a couple of wee holly leaves with berries as well.

A pirate and his lady - Tera

 Hallo,
   Tera here today with a fun project for you - a hanging plaque I did - Pirate style. Trick is - who is the pirate's LADY - the ship or the Mermaid :)
  I used 3  Sweet Pea Stamps/images on this plaque.
First the pirate is called 'Ancient One' by Joanne Schempp and I colored him with prismacolor pencils and then coated him with sepia effects from Ranger. Cut him and the next layer under him with Spellbinders dies and edged them in gold metallic pen.
  Next I stamped and embossed the ship - rubber stamp - with black embossing powder onto DP with an old map on it.
  The third image is 'Mermaid #2' by Elaine Cox. I had this old pendant in my 'old and broken jewelry' stash and colored a portion of this image to fit the pendant and glued it on with crystal lacquer and then added a beaded trim around the edge and some beads in her hair with a pearl viva décor pen.
   I used gel medium to attach all the layers to the wood plaque.

I Love You

Here's a really stunning image from Sweet Pea artist Helena Reis called Mending a Broken Heart.  It's currently available in Digi Format.  I just love this gorgeous stamp.  I created this love theme card for my hubby for our anniversary this year.  Even though the stamp is about broken hearts, I think it's a very versatile image and can be used for different occasions.  Sometimes when I am just struck with love and hugging something so very hard, I can feel a little tear in my eye, just like the woman here. It's like thinking about how really lucky you are.  That's so why I chose this stamp for my anniversary card!!

The gift by Norma J Burnell - Tera

 Hallo,
   Trying to do a few Christmas cards here and there - so I don't have a rush come November :)
  Today I used a sweet image from Norma J Burnell called 'The Gift' and colored her with my copics. She is so much fun to color - so may possibilities!!!!
   I the layered her to some pretty ribbons and some Christmas paper and added a few pearl drops with a viva décor pen and that is a wrap :)

Under Her Wings by Concetta Kilmer

This is just the perfect image for mothers day, or for a card to a mother. And giving the lil' ones various colors, you can have only girls or only boys or a nice mix. Absolutely love this cute one.

I did color the owls with Copics. Unfortunately I misplaced the sheet I had the Copic numbers on, so I can't tell you which ones I used.

I kept the card in very feminine colors and papers, adding a huge bow and matching flowers. I matched it with the mommy owl and the little yellow girl owl. It all came together quite quickly, partly, I think, because the image took up a lot of space.

A Gothic Fairy at Sweet Peas Stamps

Aletha here with a project from one of my favorite artists at Sweet Pea Stamps. That artist is Teresa Sherman. All of Teri’s images are available in digital format or as rubber stamps, your choice.

Today, the image I chose, Gothic Fairy, is in the digital format. Gothic Fairy has been coloring with Copics and after trimming I applied some Black Soot Distress ink to the edges. She was then layered her on some tan cardstock with the edges distressed and more distress ink added to those edges. To finish the final bottom layer I die cut some black card stock and aged the edges with white gesso. After the gesso was dried I layered the first two layers. My main element is complete.

My designer paper is from my stash. The edges were distressed and Black Soot Distress ink was added to the edges. This was then layered on tan cardstock that was treated the same way as the designer paper. This final layer was attached to the black base card and the main element was attached to that. My embellishments are roses and metal corners.  These were also aged with white gesso.
