Ching Chou Kuik's Pumpkin Pixie

This week I've been creating with one of the new digi stamps from one of my favourite Sweet Pea Stamps artists - Ching Chou Kuik.
For this card I've used the Pumpkin Pixie digi stamp. I love the halloween theme to this image... and the cute little cats! :) I coloured the image with my Promarkers in warm shades of orange and green and added a little shading around the figure using Prismacolor pencils:
I also added a touch of Spiced Marmalade Distress Stickles to the accents in her hair:
I came across this fabulous bat frame in the Cameo store recently and thought it was just perfect for this card. I cut it out from black cardstock and teamed it with some luscious autumn-coloured papers from the new Autumn Song collection from Bo Bunny.
To finish I added some layered flowers and dotted some flourishes using black Enamel Accents.
This stamp is available in red rubber or digi format from the Sweet Pea Stamps store.

Tranquillity

Hi everyone, hope you are doing fine! Great to see you here! Today I have some inspiration for you I made with one of the fabulous images by the wonderful artist  Concetta Kilmer. I created a card with 'Tranquillity'. Isn't she such a beauty?

I inked her up with Copics and added some sparkling to her wings and some crackled paint onto the shell and the seahorses which is better to see on the closeup below.

She is available as a DIGI. I hope I was able to give you some inspiration and wish you a wonderful day.

Featured Artist Week: Joanne Schempp - Card by Viola

I decided to Joanne’s image called “Weena”. She was so much fun to color I am new to the SPS design team and this is my first submission. I used copics to color the image. The purples in her dress are V01, V04 and V06. The grays were done by palette blending C4 and black. I used Glossy Accents on the bubbles. The flourishes are a Sizzlit die and the background paper was from an old Halloween stash. Hope you like it.
Here is a close up of the image

Featured Artist Week: Joanne Schempp - Card by Shanna

Shanna here with my pick for artist of the week. This week we are playing with Joanne Schempp images and I decided to go with Diamond Girl

I kept the card simple because I really wanted to focus on the image. I really feel like this is a party card though like a mermaid getting her dance on in the moonlight! Well not sure mermaids can dance but I am sure they can wiggle lol. Sorry I couldn't help myself. I enjoyed coloring this image so much isn't she fun. I love all her jewelry elements which is why I picked her.

Make sure you stop by the store this week as Joanne's images will be on sale!

Featured Artist Week: Joanne Schempp - Card by Holley

Here's my card for the Featured Artist Joanne Schempp.  This wonderful Halloween theme image is called Tabitha.  What a gorgeous witch, complete with her cats and her jack o'latern.  She is available in digital format currently.  I am using some awesome glittered paper from Making Memories called Toil&Trouble to create a wonderfully wicked Halloween theme card.

Here's a close up of the Tabitha image from Joanne Schempp:
Be sure and check out all of Joanne's images this week, she has both rubber stamps as well as digital stamps at Sweet Pea.

As an extra goodie this week, I am using a brand new image from artist Regan Kubecek named Trixie.  Isn't she gorgeous?  She's just perfect for Halloween.  I added a wonderful sentiment for her from Sweet Pea Stamps Plate #67.  I found an adorable cat embellishment to match.  I am using some printed transparency as décor and some shimmery mica cardstock from Paper Temptress.

Here's a wonderful closeup of this adorable stamp from Regan Kubecek, that is available both in Rubber Stamp format as well as digital stamp format.
Be sure and check out all the wonderful Halloween theme stamps at the Sweet Pea store.  I am so enjoying making lots of fun cards for the holiday.

Cheers, Holley

Featured Artist Week: Joanne Schempp - Card by Ali

This week we are focusing on the beautiful artwork of Joanne Schempp. I love her fabulous fantasy images and for my creation this week I chose to work with the Sisters digi stamp.
I just love this image of two mermaid sisters sitting together... it reminds me a little of my sister and I, one with curly hair and one with straight. :)
I colour the image using my Promarkers in pretty shades of pink and orange with some touches of blue for contrast. I cut it out using a decorative oval die before filling in the background with my Prismacolor pencils:
I also added some delicate "bubbles" to the background using a pearl-coloured Perlen Pen:
I layered the die-cut image over a die-cut scalloped oval with paper-pierced edging and teamed it with pretty blue paper which I had run through a cloud patterned embossing folder:
I layered pink dotty rubbon across the card before attaching the layered image using foam pads and finished things off with lots of pretty flowers and a few pearl gemstones:
You can find this and Joanne's other gorgeous stamps in both red rubber and digi format at the Sweet Pea Stamps store.

Featured Artist Week: Joanne Schempp - Card by Kym

This week it is Artist of the Week over at Sweet Pea Stamps.  The chosen Artist of the Week for September 2013 is the ever so talented Joanne Schempp.  This is a week when the Design Team show creations they have made using the same artist.
I decided to make a Christmas card as the months are whizzing round and it will soon be Christmas again.  For my card I have used the Joanne Schempp image called "White Christmas".  She is available as a single rubber stamp and as part of a multi-image sheet (Sheet 12, Plate 187 - White Christmas comes on the multi-image sheet with Mariposa, Heritage and Two if by Sea).

I have coloured the stamped image in with Promarkers/Flexmarkers, highlighted areas with a white gel pen and inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint and Pine Needles distress inks.
The backing papers I have used are from Bearly Mine Designs Christmas Traditions and Simply Dots.  I have finished the card off with some organza ribbon, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and some die-cut snowflakes which I have rubbed over Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium.

Featured Artist Week: Joanne Schempp - Nataliya's Card

Hello everyone.
Welcome to the Artist of the Week, at Sweet Pea Stamps Blog. This week i like to showcase image by Joanne Schempp "Marys Magic".
I made an mini Easel gift card, by using gorgeous lace Die Cuts. Image was colored with Distress inks Pads. This stamp is such a pretty and soft looking, so i wanted to color her in a very soft colors, by adding  my favorite Diamond Dust Twinklets.
After i colored image i used Spellbinders Die to cut it out, and inked edges before i pull image out of the die.

Here is my surprise on the inside.  It's a pocket for the Money, or gift card.

I used rubber stamp for the sentiment and embossed with silver embossing powder.  also i added Pearls and gems

After i put my card all together, my finished touch was to add some Frost White ink by SU, all over the image. I hope you like it.
Hugs Nataliya
