Adrift
This is another wonderful mermaid image drawn by Rebecca Sinz for Sweet Pea Stamps called Adrift. I have been playing around with colors because to me mermaids, fairies, etc. can all be any color, have any color hair, etc. That is part of what makes them so fabulous!
The background paper is from the Bazzill pack Miss Teagan Sue. It was super wonderful to use bright colors and flowers with such dreary weather outside.
Get Inky!

Dream Time
Here's a great Sweet Pea stamp from artist Marlon Teunissen called Dream Time (Plate #231).
This stamp is just stunning. I colored all the clockwork in cool
greys. The artist's image is done in color, so be sure and check it out
on the Sweet Pea site to see her coloring.
The bottom of the card was trimmed and a fun scallop layer was added to the top. The inside of the card is a wonderful brown color. I then added a vellum saying "I can resist everything except temptation. Oscar Wilde" That sentiment just looks perfect with that lady.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!!
Cheers, Holley

Cecaelia
There is a new sheet of images drawn by Rebecca Sinz available at Sweet Pea Stamps. Plate #234 and all four images are stunning. I was really taken with Cecaelia. I never have imagined and octopus as sexy, but Cecaelia makes it so.

Seasonal Steampunk
I started off colouring in this gorgeous Meredith Dillman digi stamp in shades of gold and green... but then I also added red to the dress and somehow the colour scheme became rather Christmassy and festive! :)
I love the detail of this image. It's called Steampunk Fairy and it's gorgeous... all the ruffles of her dress, the gemstones and metalwork, the intricate weave of her hair, the beautiful art deco-ish scrollwork of the frame. I coloured her in with my Promarkers and also dug out my Flexmarkers to add a delicate pink colourwash to the background:
I used a steampunk-themed frame mask for the base card, spritzing over it with golden Smooch Spray and then rubbing Inka Gold over it.
I attached the coloured dig stamp using foam pads and added die-cut leafy flourishes cut from gold card and some wooden flowery/doily shapes coloured with Inka Gold. To finish off I added a die-cut butterfly and some dabs of red and green Stickles.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are not feeling too "festive"ed-out! :)

A gift for Christmas
Hi again!
Merry Christmas to all of you ;)
Today I am sharing a Christmas gift I've made - usually I color those in Christmas colors, but I thought this should be a gift that should be used all year long.
I've made an open teabag holder, using the gorgeous ching-chou kuik image named Pink Peony. I've also used a beautiful sentiment stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps, which you can find here on Plate #2
Here are some pics:

SWEETPEA DT INSPIRATION
I haven't got a project to share with you but I do have a couple of images coloured by my Niece a while ago and now hanging on my Fridge/Freezer.
This first one was probably done when she was 4 years and the later one was done a little while later. She's now 5 years old and her colouring amazes me as she is very good at colouring within the lines. I didn't have a Sweetpea image to share of her latest colouring but the reason I thought I would share it to show how young children don't have the restraints we have when colouring they don't spend alot of time deciding what colours work best together etc. I love her freedom to use any colour and just enjoy.
Stamps:
1 Elisabeth Bell's A Warm Fuzzy Hug and Be My Valentine - available here
2 Victoria Wade's Snow Buddies - available here
Best wishes,
Sharon

Sweet Innocence
Sweet Innocence, that's what this little girl makes me think of, a
child praying what is sweeter than that? Here's a gorgeous stamp from
artist Elisabeth Bell called Polly's Little Prayer. I think holiday time is a great time to stop and think of prayers too.
I cut out the image using a decorative cutter from Spellbinders Nestabilities and added a vellum sentiment "Children are a Gift from the Lord: They are a reward from him, -Psalms." I hope you are all getting ready for the holidays as I am. I have gotten my stockings out with a little sign that says "Insert Rubber Here." That's a little HINT for my dear family. Though given the amount of crafts I create, I think they have figured it out. But, I do think SANTA could use a little prompting now and again. That Santa, he's sure good to me.
Hugs and best wishes for a Merry Christmas everyone.

Holiday Collage
Hi everyone, we're into the countdown until Christmas, only very few days to go. Are you prepared, yet? I am still in a hurry. I thought I would be good in time, but at least there are still this and that to do. So I am looking very much forward to few days off I will have soon.
One of my all time favourite image is this one from the 'Holiday Collage Sheet'. I love deers and so this one is perfect for making some nice cards when you don't have too much time to make them. And the effect is great I think. I love it. The papers I used is from Simple Story '25 Days of Christmas', one of my favourite as well.
Wish you a wonderful Christmas time now!
Hugs, Karina

Purple Woods
For my card this week I chose to work with another of Ching-Chou Kuiks' stunning images - this one is called Purple Woods:
I love the wistful, melancholy expression on her face... it made me want to colour this image in wistful, muted colours, shades of purple and blue and green.
I kept this card quite simple with some patterned papers that were free in a craft magazine, a die-cut flourish (cut with my Cameo) and some flowers punched (and embossed) from more of the paper.
This is one of the fabulous things about Sweet Pea Stamps... the images are so gorgeous and detailed that by the time you've coloured them in the image alone is enough to make a striking, beautiful card with very little embellishment needed. :)
You can purchase Purple Woods in either red rubber or digi format from the Sweet Pea Stamps store (don't forget you can get 30% off Ching-Chou Kuik's red rubber stamps until December 21st and there are special offers in digi stamps too). :)
