For my card this week I chose to work with another of Ching-Chou Kuiks' stunning images - this one is called Purple Woods:
I love the wistful, melancholy expression on her face... it made me want to colour this image in wistful, muted colours, shades of purple and blue and green.
I kept this card quite simple with some patterned papers that were free in a craft magazine, a die-cut flourish (cut with my Cameo) and some flowers punched (and embossed) from more of the paper.
This is one of the fabulous things about Sweet Pea Stamps... the images are so gorgeous and detailed that by the time you've coloured them in the image alone is enough to make a striking, beautiful card with very little embellishment needed. :)
You can purchase Purple Woods in either red rubber or digi format from the Sweet Pea Stamps store (don't forget you can get 30% off Ching-Chou Kuik's red rubber stamps until December 21st and there are special offers in digi stamps too). :)

Fabulous colouring again Ali - love those tones. Wonderful card.

Wow Ali! I really like how this came out. You have allowed the beauty of the stamp to shine thru without adding too much "frosting" as is usually done now.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!,
