Variations Week: Jennifer's View

Today is the last day of Variations Week featuring Concetta Kilmer's lovely image Under Her Wings.

For my card, I thought I would go with soft, subtle colors - wouldn't want to energize all those little ones! I colored the owls with copics and the remainder of the image with chalks. The papers and flowers are Prima. Thanks for stopping by!

Variations Week: Holley's View

In honor of Mother's Day this week the whole team is making cards using Under Her Wings from Sweet Pea stamps artist Concetta Kilmer. This cute stamp is available both in rubber stamp and digi-stamp format.  Here's my take on this gorgeous stamp, I must say that I do just love owls!!
For Mother's Day, I decided to color up the largest owl in beautiful pinks with some light browns.  I used a fun diecut from Nellie Snellin to trim out the image. I used chalk ink of the butterfly impressions on the corners to highlight that and then added flowers and diecuts all in pinks.  I guess with four little owls here and since I am one of four siblings, this card would be perfect.

I hope you have loved seeing so many creations with this beautiful stamp this week.  Concetta Kilmer has so many adorable owl images, be sure to check out her creations at the Sweet Pea store.

Cheers, Holley

Variations Week : Alex's View

Have you had fun seeing all the different variations of this image by Concetta Kilmer called Under Her Wings?  What a fabulous image for a Mother's Day card.  I really wanted some spring happy colors, but was worried about getting carried away and ending up with a rainbow of birds.  I think I managed to have a pleasant mix of colors without going overboard.

The background paper is from the Authentique Renew Paper pack.  I fought with myself a bit before using it.  The paper and pattern were perfect for this image, but the backside is so pretty too.   It isn't that I don't still have two more sheets left to use whichever side I want, it was the idea of gluing down and hiding such a pretty print on the back.  I really think there should be a rule that double sided paper must have an ugly side.

The paper flowers with the orange gem centers were the finishing touch and helped to tie everything all together.  Make certain to take a close look and see just how adorable the faces on the baby birds are.

Get Inky!

Variations Week: Ali's View

For Variations Week the DT are all playing with this adorable image "Under Her Wings" by Concetta Kilmer. I love seeing everyone create such different projects using the same image. :)

I decided to do a stepper card, just for something a bit different.

I coloured the image in soft pastel colours using my Promarkers and chose pretty papers to match.

I finished things off with a punched border and some pretty pearls.

A fairly clean and simple, but pretty card. :) You can find this image in either red rubber or digi format in the Sweet Pea Stamps store.

Variations Week: Nataliya's View

Hello everyone. I am so excited to show you this cute card i made for Sweet Pea Stamps Variation Week.  My Daughter Katharine has wooden Mask with the hols for the eyes, and i though this would be prefect shape for this image. So i trace it and cut out, and who-la-la.
This cute image call "Under her Wings" by Concetta Kilmer. I colored image with SU Markers, then i stamped with Embossing stamp pad and used SU glitter embossing powder, then i stamped again and covered image with clear embossing powder and did it two times.
I love the way it's sparkle and shine at the same time
I added two of my hand made Flowers  (you maybe saw them on my FB). They looks like Eyes, don't you think? Also i used my absolutely favorite die Bella Rose from Heartfelt Creations. On the sides i added Gems. Around the image i added vintage lace.
One more little flower and die cuts leaves, and it's all for my embellishments.
Well, i hope you like what i made. Have a good day.
Hugs Nataliya
