Connie-Wonderful Wickedless Witch

I started out with soft, muted colors and somehow went pink-wild.
Whoever heard of a witch wearing pink?
Well this one does and she does it well!

You will find this beauty on plate #53 by ching-chou kuik in
the Sweet Pea Stamp store by clicking below:

I tried to keep my card to a standard A2 size but couldn't get everything on
so it grew into a 6" square.

The dp is unknown from my stash. I used Spellbinder's
Nesties "Doodle Parts" and "Classic Frame", a Martha Stewart
border punch & corner punch, Copic markers,
pearls by Queen & Co. and SU! dye ink "Really Rust" and "Tuxedo
Black" by Memento.

Can you find my little "improvement" in the verse so it matches the witch-y theme better?
Thanks for looking!
Connie

Elaine Cox Collection: Plate #59

This is an adorable set of stamps - Halloween has always been my favorite time of the year and these are perfect!

Little Stars Witch:

Little Owl Witch:

Little Witch Cat:

Stone Wall Witch:

She's just Bootiful!

Have a 'boo'tiful day! I think this image from Elaine Cox is just beautiful! Right now, I am getting ready for the fall season by making many Halloween theme cards for friends and family. I am just loving Sweet Pea's stamps in this area. This wonderful stamp makes stunning cards.
I used a dark green card to match the witch's dress and a grey color to use for the cat, her eyes, and parts of her hair. This stamp comes from Plate #52 and is called Kitty Pumpkin Witch. The cute saying actually comes from a sheet of stamps designed by Samantha Rawlings Plate 62. I added some beautiful Bazzill Ribbon and Making Memories ribbon embellishment to finish off the card's design.
Hope you all have some great ideas for your Halloween cards!
Cheers, Holley

Hex Yewglow

When checking out the blogs of my new Sweet Pea DT sisters I came across on Alex's blog a place where you could find your fairy name. I thought I would give it a try since I adore fairies.  When I put my name in it it came up with this:

Your fairy is called Hex Yewglow
She is a weird enchantress.
She lives in places hexed and tainted by black magic.
She is only seen in the light of a full moon.
She wears black feathers and rose petals. She has russet-coloured wings like a brightly coloured butterfly.

So I decided to look through my Sweet Pea Stamps to create Hex Yewglow and this is what I came up with!
I used ©ching chou kuik's Kimono Butterfly Mermaid, sheet 19, plate 54 as my image and changed her from a mermaid to part bird I guess by adding the black feathers to her tail.  I colored her with copics and added a bit of stickles and highlighted the moon with glossy accents.  My signature background was made with chalk.  I then completed the card with a few more feathers, some sweet roses and a couple of russet winged butterflies.  To create the spirals by the flowers I wrapped black wire around a tiny paint brush.  A bow tied the project off. I think she turned out pretty much like my fairy name, what do you think?

ching-chou kuik's The Dragonfly

Hi Everyone,

For my post today I decided to play with ching-chou kuik's The Dragonfly. I tend to go with blue and green color tones so today I decided to try some pinks & reds.

I stamped her onto Neenah Classic Crest Millstone card stock using Memento's Rich Cocoa, then colored her with Copics. I did pull out my India Ink pigment markers and used the gray to to darken some of the shadowy areas and the outline her for a little dimension.

Speaking of dimension, I found a jar of little seed beads and added these with Crystal Effects. Not sure if I like it. Maybe I should have used different beads:

I also dug up my Peal Ex powders and used those to fill in the background. I'm not a big fan of Dew Drops only because I 'fat-finger' them and it takes me what seems like hours to get them onto the card (and I generally end up either messing up the image or card with glue or dirt which just seems to be attracted to my hands) but I thought they'd add a little something to the scalloped edges. For my card base I also used a tan card stock which I embossed with CB embossing folder, Sentimentals. The brown cs strip and the green corners were from my scrapbasket. I finished the card off using some silk flowers (which you can find in the wedding aisle of your local craft store).

I love that this stamp is round and fits perfectly with the round Nestabilities dies. How fun would this stamp be making coasters ...... hm, the ideas are coming....

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Sweet Pea Stamps shop. OMG, did you see??? You could win a $50 shopping spree! But hurry, this fabulous chance is only here until August 31st. :-)

Make a Wish

Hi everyone :) For my card today, I just had to ink up this gorgeous image illustrated by Elaine Cox and available at Sweet Pea Stamps. This particular image is called Little Black Unicorn and I think this is one of my absolute favorite images. I colored the image with copics and then shaded around the top of the image with SU's Rose Red ink. I added Stardust Stickles to the unicorn's horn and to the fairy's wings. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Always Artichoke and Rose Red). My DP is from MME. For some finishing touches, I added a bow (tied with my Bow Easy), pearls, Primas, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?
Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs, Christine

Autumn Harvest

Hello! Today I have used a gorgeous new image by ching-chou kuik called Autumn Harvest! I colored her with Copics and used some corner and edge punches for a little interest. I did not use a sentiment because I like to have a few blank cards for any occasion that might pop up. This one could easily be a birthday card or a thank you card (or several other things) just by whatever sentiment I put on the inside.

The Details:
Stamp: Autumn Harvest - ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection (sheet 20, Plate 57) - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: Bo Bunny, Basic Black, Whisper White (SU), White for image (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
