Variation Week: Holley's View

Here's an image from one of the newest artists at Sweet Pea stamps Heather Valentin. She sells only Rubber stamps at the store and this image is called Molly - What a catch.  Have you been enjoying all the amazing creations with this stamp all week? Well, here's my creation using this fun image.  This image is just darling, I gave her pink hair an turquoise clothes that match the embellishments I put on the card.

Here's an enlargement of the image itself.  Don't you love the cute fish button I added to the center of the flower?  how about those adorable flower brads? don't they match that funky ribbon just perfectly?

 Hallo,
    This week we are all working with Molly - What a catch by Heather Valentin and today is my turn :)
  Isn't she adorable!!!! She looks like she is having a good day fishing !!
    I colored her with copics and cut her out with a Spellbinders die.
  I added some bright fun paper to match her shirt and hair bows and an orange ribbon too. I also found this cute little fish charm in my stash too :)

Variations Week: Lina's View

Heather Valentin is a fairly new artist in the store, but I'm so happy she joined the artist team. Cause I absolutely love and adore her images. I think they're so full of personality and mood.

She's colored with Copics, off course. It is my favorite medium after all. I used:

I kept this card fairly simpel, with just a single sheet of patterned paper. I really love all that's going on in the image, and didn't want it to get lost in to many papers and embellishments. So a bright sunray paper was really all I wanted, together with a few embellishments..

Variations Week: Aletha’s View

It’s that time of the month at Sweet Pea Stamps. The image that Sweet Pea’s Designers were given is Molly Gone Fishin’. Molly was designed by Heather Valentin exclusively for Sweet Pea. She will be available in red rubber. I must add that this rubber is of the best quality.

Molly was a dream to color. I colored with Copics and did some highlighting with a white gel pen. She was then trimmed and layered on blue and yellow cardstock.

Copics used:

Skin: E000, 00, 04, 11, 21, and R20

Hair, stump, and pole:

E25, 29, 31, 50

Shirt and bows: Y11, 14, 15, 18, 19, 32

Fish: B12, 14, 16, 18, and

YR21, 24, 27

Grass: YG61, 63, 67, and G29

Water: B12, 16, 18

Background: W00, 0, 1, 2, and B12, Y18

I layered some designer paper on blue and yellow cardstock and then adhered that to a white card base. The embellishments are ribbon in two corners, a layered butterfly, and spikey flowers.

It's your last chance!!

You better run to the store and get these adorable images from Sweet Pea artist Elisabeth Bell!  I am using Twinkle Toes Bubbles on this quick and cute card here.  I thought this bubble looked like two drops of water, so I added some cute rain drop borders to the card.  Doesn't she have a happy smile?

Variation Week: Jane's View

Sweet Pea Stamps

Today is my day to showcase an image from Sweet Pea Stamps for our Variation Week.  This week all the DT are creating an item using the cute image 'Molly- What A Catch' by Heather Valentin. This image is only available in rubber.

To begin with I coloured the background of the image wit blendable pencils.  Not sure why the are called blendable as I can't get a nice smooth finish with these but never mind, they serve the purpose for now.

 Once that was done I coloured the image with Promarkers.

 For this project I am altering a note book so to start off I removed the spiral hold.

Next, and I have forgotten to take picture lol, I covered the front cover with navy hand made paper then added some blue mesh.  The digi was cut with X-Cut Scalloped Circles. Using another paper I have which has a snake skin texture I then embossed it with an embossing folder that looks a bit like fish scales.  This too was cut with the same die as the digi.  To finish off the edges I used pearls and Ice Stickles.

 The fish were cut using Joy Craft fish die.

Now I don't have any Frantage but I am playing at making something similar.  Here I have some Mica which I picked up from and onld (1940's) disused mine hubby and I found when on holiday down under.  It is such fun stuff lol.  I have flaked off a few pieces and chopped them up with scissors.

Using thick embossing powder which I applied to the cover I then sprinkled my mica fragments on top and heated from underneath to melt.

 Onto making a charm for the pencil using fishing line, pearl beads and a shell charm.

 I coloured a small pencil with Rock Pool Promarker and then finished off with some Extreme Glitter paint.

 And here we have the finished wee pencil

I love the way these pencils fit perfectly into the spring coil <g>

 And here is the finished creation.

'Dark Lilies' - Tera

 Hallo,
   Tera here with an unusually 'PINK' project. I don't often use much pink but I had some lilies in my back yard like I colored these so I used them as inspiration and kinda 'pinked out' :)
  I used some glimmer mist on the paper flowers, a pretty pink and black flowered ribbon, some gold sticker corners, pearl drops with a gold viva decro pen and a gold metallic pen to decorate this card.
  Even though I don't often use pink - I like how she turned out.
  I used 'Dark Lilies' by Ching Chou Kuik and she is available both as a digi and a rubber stamp.

A Sad Valentine

 Here's a stunning image from Sweet Pea artist Enys Guerrero called A Sad Valentine.  I think this stamp is great for any particular occasion though. I colored her up in blues and pinks together and a background of warm grey.  I like the steampunk embellishment on the image itself, so I went with that and added a bunch of steampunk die cuts to the final card.

 

Don't you just love the forlorn look on her face?  I just love that she looks so mature at one level, but then you see that unicorn coddled up next to her still.

Enys Guerrero's La Chica de Vitral

Today I decided to showcase this gorgeous image by Enys Guerrero called-La Chica de Vitral.

I did "soften" up the image when I colored it but I still love the look of her.

I colored the image with my Copics and I actually wrote them down this time

Hair: E01, 13,15,18

Dress;: BG 72, 78

Yes I decided to add some freckles to her since I have them and love to use them in my coloring.

The paper is from MME paper stack I have and bordered her with a Spellbinders die I have.
