Slightly Toxic

With Halloween looming on the horizon, I decided to focus on some of the images that lend themselves to the holiday.  Terra Bidlespacher has several that work and this is one of my favorites.  It is called Slightly Toxic.  It can be found on Plate #169 or purchased by itself.

This really was fun to color. I enjoyed all the stones in the floor and wall behind her as well as the melting candles in the bottles.  Just little details that set the scene so well.  Her sweet face certainly doesn't look like she would do anyone harm

Get Inky!

"Forget me not" and "Sitting Pretty":)

Hello dear blog friends!:)
Today I would like to show you another creation of me, which I´ve made for Sweet Pea Stamp!

The first one I've made a Birthday card, and therefore I selected the new image
-"Forget me not", by Rachel Anderson, (isn´t she cute?!) ,
and some wonderful papers from Pion Design-"Minnenas Atelje collection-Birdsong".

Furthermore I used the Martha Stewart-"Ribbon Loop", punch around the edge, on the back of the card and added the rest of the card on that one!

"Forget me not", by Rachel Anderson sheet 3, Plate 173 is been colored with Prisma Premier Pencils.

If you like this beautiful image, you can go HERE♥!:) You'll find her together as a single or together with 3 other sweet images!

These white paper flowers are from Kort og Godt, and I've added a pearl in the middle of each, and all the other flowers/pearls and ribbon are from WOC:)

For my second card I've used this lovely image from Sweet Pea Stamp, Sitting Pretty by Karen Middleton!
The paper is from 3ndy design and Graphic 45.

I love these images from Karen M.♥!:)

The flowers are from WOC and Kort og Godt...and those blue butterflies are from Karen M. Klip.
I've coloured this beautiful image-"Sitting pretty" with Copic's. All the edges are distressed with Vintage photo. On the "image-butterfly" I've added some glitter-Star Dust, same as the flowers!:)

This beautiful image can be purchase HERE, on sheet-15Plate #176, single or together with 3 other images by Karen Middleton♥.

Thank you so much for visiting, and all your lovely comments!!
Wish you a beautiful day, and take good care!
Hugs, Ellen

Soft look with dry chalks

I feel like I have gotten a bit stuck in the same technique of coloring with promarkers and using patterned papers for my cards. So today I made a quite simple card, but with a new twist. I used a versamark inkpad to stamp up Elaine Cox's Katie from plate 85 and rubbed it in different colored chalks to give the subtle look. I chose stronger papers in the same shades which I think enhances the softness of the image. It doesn't always have to be advanced with lots of papers and layers. Sometimes all you need is a new technique to get great and different results.

ANNA MARINE'S VIOLET and LOVE

I am so excited to announce that this is my first post as a fully fledged member of the SWEETPEA design team.

I have many favourite SWEETPEA ARTISTS so it was difficult to chose which one to use for my first posting. As with most of my cards I chose the image that appeals to me most on that particular day and today it was this gorgeous stamp by Anna Marine called VIOLET. In Anna Marine's original artwork she has coloured her quite dark and vampire as is so popular at the moment. I have decided to colour her both ways. In the first one I have coloured her much softer as I think she is quite beautiful and I have chosen a more sepia vintage washout colour palette.

and now the same stamp coloured with the darker tones.

Details:

Stamp Used: VIOLET by Anna Marine. This stamp can be purchased as a single stamp or you can purchase the plate which includes four of Anna Marine's gorgeous stamps.
Click here for further details and to view the whole sheet - SHEET #4 - PLATE #186

For further details of how these cards were compiled please check out my blog here.

I have used one of Anna Marine's earliest stamps and have used Copics and pencils as my main colouring medium.
This image is called L.O.V.E. by Anna Marine is available as a single stamp and is also as a stamp plate (4 stamps- Anna Marine's Sheet 1, Plate 141) to view click here.

Some Metal and a Fairy

Hi Sweet Pea Nation,

For my card today, I decided to gather some metal washers and incorporate these into my card. Since it's been ages since I've used my copics, I was a little worried about coloring but Teresa Sherman's Steampunk Fairy is such an easy image to color because Teresa did all the hard parts..... the shading.
I used regular metal washers and colored these with my Bic Gold Poster Paint marker. I also took some wire and coiled it for her arm jewelry.

I used some Glossy Accent to fill the earing jewelry and glue down the "arm band". The sentiment is from Plate #98 which I cut apart and edged with Distress Ink.
Super fun and considering my lack of mojo, this Steampunk Fairy has put me on the right track to find that ever elusive craft mojo :-).
Thanks for stopping by and seriously, grab your coloring medium of choice, head over to Sweet Pea Stamps for some beautiful stamps and have fun! I promise you, you'll be glad you did!

Please Welcome-----

(once I get back to my real computer, I will be adjusting the banner to add her name on). Be on the look out for her wonderful creations!

Planting Seeds

Hi everyone.
It is spring time here in Australia, so we are all out in the garden enjoying the beautiful sunshine and looking at all the gorgeous new blooms.
I was inspired to create a card that represented springtime, and what could fit more perfectly than Valarie Wade's Planting Seeds.

After colouring her with Copic Markers, I masked the image and applied Antique Linen Distress Ink  to the background.
This lovely little girl can be purchased by herself or together with another beautiful image on Valarie Wade's Sheet #1, Plate #118.

Thank you so much for joining me today.
Hugs
Renee
