Cards Using Elisabeth Bell's NEWEST Stamps

Hi everyone,  It's Angela here and today I have 3 cards to share with you using all 3 of Elisabeth Bells Newest Images.
For this first card I used her new image "Music Box".

I used some DCWV DP, Sizzix Sizzlets Flourish Dies and corner Die, Glimmer Mist, Pearl embellishments, Ribbon, Spellbinder dies and the image was colored with copics.

For this one I used "Sweet Is Summer". I used some Basic Grey DP Die cut butterfly, Recollections Butterfly, Vellum sentiment, Oval Nesties and the image was colored with copics.

And here is the last one using "Standing Pretty".  I used some Vintage papers and embellishments from K&Company and Colorbok, Ruffle Lace, Spellbinder border Die, Wild Orchid Roses, Distressing Tool and Inks, Floral Ivy and Foam Tape.

Here is a close up of just the images.

"Sweet Is Summer"

I hope you love these new images by Elisabeth Bell as much as we do here at Sweet Pea Stamps.
They are still on pre-order  until Sept. 25(tomorrow), so go and pre-order yours now while they are still on sale. HERE

Melissa Dawn Plate 146:

Today I have cards featuring the gorgeous images from the Melissa Dawn collection. Both images can be found on plate #146. They were both colored with copics.

This lovely image is titled December Wings. Papers are from the Immortal Collection (DCWV). I painted the wings with Illuminate Smooch - really gorgeous shimmer the scanner can't pick up.

For the animal lovers a cat themed Christmas card with the image titled Phantom of the Masquerade.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today and check out all the gorgeous images in the Melissa Dawn collection!

Sakura Spirit

Meredith Dillman has and entire sheet of images at Sweet Pea Stamps, plate #137, that is devoted to flowing, regal women.  This one is called Sakura Spirit.

I had originally intended to use an entirely different background patterned paper for this image.  I have one that has branches and blossoms on it similar to the image.  However, when I went to create the card, I just couldn't get happy with anything I tried.  Finally I set that aside, and started fresh with the colored image in my hand and my stash of paper before me.  The end result is MUCH better than anything I had tried previously.  Sometimes it is about knowing when to change course.

Get Inky!

Sea Angel

Hi dear fellow Sweet Pea lovers. Hope you're doing fine everyone. Today I want to share with you a card I made with the image of the fabulous artist Renee Biertempfel called 'Sea Angel'. I love this image so very much. And the other images on the same plate # 144 are not less amazing.

I coloured her with Distress Inks. The papers I used are by the Printery Collection from Prima Marketing and Butterfly Garden Collection from Pinkpaislee. I distressed the edges and added some white Distress crackle paint on them.

Have you already seen the new Halloween images Sweet Pea Stamps have in store now? If not you really have to take a look at them. They are gorgeous, and Halloween isn't far away anymore.

Have a magical day everyone and thank you so much for looking.
Hugs, Karina

Angel Wings

Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty sure everyone has days, weeks and sometimes months where life throws us a curve ball either in the form of stress, or the unexpected. Which leads me to the question: Do you believe in Angels? I do. Now with everything going on in my life this past week, I, not only had no time, but had not stepped foot into my craft room. Not to mention that it's been several weeks since picking up my Copics.

So I decided to surround myself with an Angel from Plate #17.

I suppose I could have colored her with Copics, but instead I used watercolor crayons and a bit of Twinkling H2O's on her wings. The sentiment is also from Plate #17 and couldn't be a more perfect sentiment ... so this card.... this one I created for me :-)..

Plate #17 was one of the first plates I had to have because .... well, because I believe in Angels and the stamps in this plate are beautiful. If you haven't checked out some of the early plates from Sweet Pea Stamps.... go check them out.... :-)

Great storage idea for your sweetpea stamps

Today I would like to share a fabulous storage idea for your sweetpea stamps. I have a loooot of the stamps and tried to keep them in order, but it's been hard. They have been standing up in a box with the platenumbers sorted, but it's hard to look through what I have and in the end I just take out the thing that was on top. Not the best way to use your stamps. So here's my new idea and I'm superexcited about it. Just took two days to sort through ;)

I got myself a bunch of plastic protectors in standard size that are divided in 4 pockets and open at the top. I think they are originally used for photos or postcards. I think the ones for postcards are clear all the way through (without the white) but these work better as you can focus better on each page without distraction. The pages are perfect for most of the full plates from sweetpea as they come in four or two. They look the same on the back so you will actually store eight stamps/page. Isn't it great?

The stamps that are small can be put in plastic sheets that are divided in nine. They are used for collector's cards and such. This idea I actually found on someone else's blog, but realized it wouldn't work with the sweetpeas. So I got thinking and when I came up with the four divided ones I thought it would be brilliant. Especially with each page holding a full sheet!

I always write up the name, platenumber and artist on the back of each stamp. I will also put little labels on each page with the plate number and artist's name. Just need to get myself some selfadheisive labels. If you get repositionable ones you will be able to move the stamps around and relabel the pages.

As I mostly have ching chou kuik stamps I now have a slightly overfull binder (actually think I'll have to divide them up into two). If you have a hard time seeing what the stamps are you could stamp up the image on paper and put it in each pocket. The stamp can then slide behind the image. I think I will do this, but it will have to be done in small steps...Next I will do the same with the sentimentstamps, but those I really have to stamp up on paper first so I can divide them in themes or such. Right now I barely use them because I can't find anything or see what it says.

Oh, I'm so excited about this idea and think it will make my life so much better. And my poor craftingcorner will thank me for getting rid of all the boxes. Now the only question is what to do with all the new space :D
Let me know if you get to use this idea. I'd love to know if I've made anyone's life any easier.

Keep crafting.

Joanne Schempp's Barbie

OHHHH... I LOVEJoanne Schempp! Her drawings make the most gorgeous and FUN stamps to color and I love every minute of it! I feel like I can be so creative and really let loose with her images. This one is called Barbie and it was FUN to work with! I colored it using Derwent water color pencils and copics for her skin and eyes. I added detail with Viva Decor pens also.

Here is a close up of this fun stamp and now you can really see the purple sparkle paper behind the image that I chose! I also used some really fin paper from Paper source that I had around for a while and it really seemed to work! Thanks for popping in and have a wonderful day!
