It is the start of another month and therefore the start of another challenge over at the One Sweet Challenge. The topic this month is "things that go bump in the night".
For me the topic of this challenge means anything spooky/to give you a fright so I decided to go with the Sweet Pea Stamps image by Teresa Sherman called "Pumpkin Witch". This image is available from Sweet Pea Stamps as a single rubber stamp and as part of a multi-image plate (Sheet 6, Plate 215 - Pumpkin Witch comes on the multi-image plate with Spidey Spider and Best Witches, Little Pumpkin Fairy and In the Pumpkin Patch)
I have coloured Pumpkin Witch in with Promarkers/Flexmarkers and went for the colour scheme for the witch of orange and lime green. I have inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Black Soot distress ink.

The backing papers are from Sumemrtime Designs and Bearly Mine Designs Halloween Hauntings. I have inked all the papers with Black Soot distress inks and my Splodge Away mat. I have then stamped around the image and the backing papers with a Sheena Douglass A Little Bit Sketchy cloud-like stamp. On the green backing paper I have used a "That Special Touch" fence mask and my Black Soot distress ink to make it look like a fence around the church yard. I have finished the card off with peel-offs for the word "boo", flowers, pumpkin charm and some fibres. Although she is a very nice looking witch (if there can be one!!) I certainly wouldn't want to be in that graveyard at night!!
Wonderful card! I like the spiderwebs along the side, such a great touch!
ReplyDeleteThe torn paper edge was a good idea. The cool oranges in the background were good too. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love that the dress matches that card so perfectly and the awesome borders you added. Perfect for Halloween! Cheers, Holley
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Kym! Love the yellow and orange you've used for the image and matching papers. The spider net as borders look great.
