Here is another scrapbook page I have made. This time I have used the Sweet Pea Stamps image by the artist Ching-Chou Kuik and it is called "Exotic Halloween". This image is available as a digital stamp, single rubber stamp and as a multi-image plate (Sheet 11, Plate 38 - the image Exotic Halloween comes on the multi-image plate with Time Flies, Moonlight Whispering and Fluttering Butterflies.
I have stamped the image with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo distress ink and used water to bleed out the colour a bit. To add some tones I have used my Rusty Hinge distress ink as well. The backing papers were all scraps. I'll let you into a secret the top patterned paper wasn't big enough so I had to put a border over the top as I thought it matched the image well. I have finished the card off with a torn around sentiment, flowers (one of which I inked around with Vintage Photo) and some Perfect Pearls.
So pretty! I like how it's monochrome but still has such detail!!

I love these soft autumn tones. Great job, Kym!
ReplyDeleteI love the technique you used. The softness of the colors didn't take anything from the image. The whole card was put together very nicely. Great job.
ReplyDeleteLately i like to work with Distress inks, but never stamp one. I should try one day. Lovely card Kym.
