Remember

Hi everyone!  Here's a great image from Sweet Pea artist Karen Middleton.  She's called Face #1.  I just love the deep thought she's in.  I added the perfect sentiment to go with her "Remember" because she's looks lost in her own memory.  I am getting ready to make lots of fun valentine cards an even though this specific card is not for valentine's you can certainly see my coloring patterns in my mind are already thinking about it.
The card base is using some Bazzill printed paper with Glaze;  the frame comes from Spellbinders; and that gorgeous ribbon is some that I got while on vacation in Istanbul, Turkey.  What a great ribbon shop! it was like THREE stories high full of ribbons and  laces.  WOW.  I may have spent about a 100 tl (Turkish Lira), at the time the US dollar had hit an all time high exchange rate. It was a good time to be vacationing there. Not only that they have "districts" where there are nothing but ribbon store or lace stores after store after store....it's truly amazing.

Here's a close up of this awesome stamp called Face #1

Be sure and check out the other great stamps from Karen Middleton.  I think this image could be made into a nice Missing you or Thinking of you card as well.

Cheers, Holley

  3. Okay, now I want to go on holiday to Turkey!

Gorgeous card - I love the contrast of the pink and black and I do love the women that Karen draws. The frame is fabulous and I love your colouring on the image... it's got a slightly cartoon art/manga feel to it, especially with the fabulous pink hair. :)
