You tug at my heart strings

You tug at my heartstrings. Doesn't this image? I know she does for me. She's just the cutest! That's one of those images that I can look at and just immediately know that artist Elisabeth Bell is the creator. Sweet Pea Stamps just came out with this stamp, called "A Warm Fuzzy Hug" and there's three new stamps that are being released this month from Elisabeth Bell (Click here).
Here's a closeup of the image, colored with copic markers

She just makes me think back to all those times when I was a little kid hugging a teddy bear or often a blanket or pillow. The paper used on this card is a shimmery flocked paper from Heidi Grace. I added an additional layer of thickness to it by using some AC Metallic paper. Be sure to check out the wonderful new stamps from artist Elisabeth Bell at the Sweet Pea store. You can also check my blog for some great Sweet Pea stamps being given as blog candy.

One more project to share today, here's one of the newer stamps that artist Rebecca Sinz just released. It is part of a 4 piece set, sold individually or as a sheet of stamps, this image is called "Seasons Summer" (Plate #200). If you check out the artist's coloring on this image and then see mine, you can see how versatile this image is. I think of this coloration of the stamp as more of spring inspired version.

I tried to add a lot of bright and vibrant colors to her and to the card. She's just a stunning image, I feel it hard to do her justice. Be sure and check out the other stunning stamps in the Seasons series from this artist.

I hope this inspired you to go make some fun and playful cards as well as some beautiful romantic type cards.

Cheers, Holley

  1. Both of these Holley are lovely. I really like the colours in the first one and the second one is such a grown up card. How beautiful is she?
    Best wishes, Sharon

  2. Your Elisabeth Bell card is just adorable Holley! I like how her hair turned out. I never know just how to approach a Sinz image but you surely do! Great job with both.

  3. Lovely creations Holley and what great colors.

  4. Wow, Holley, you show us two wonderful cards, but of them. But so different. The E. Bell one is a true cutiepie. Love what you did with her. The big butterfly is so lovely. And the second one looks so great, too. Love your colour choice and what you did with the twine.
    Hugs, Karina
