Under the Sea

I love and adore mermaids. Always have, always will. All styles! This particular image, Under the Sea in plate #171 by Katerina Koukiotis is so powerful though, that I just had to work with it.


I used some paper by Basic Grey and a rub on my Bo Bunny to frame the image, but mostly let it stand alone.  I love the way the artist has her hair moving in the water.

    Gorgeous Alex!! I love the way you have shaded her hair and the colors you used.
    So much more dramatic without all the frills that seem to be the rage now....can you tell I like the "less is more" adage?

    Ohhh... i love this! You did a wonderful job on this image and the colors that you chose are the perfect image for mermaids in my opinion! This is wonderful!
