Decorated envelope

We make all these beautiful cards, but I forget to decorate the envelopes (that's why I mostly use clear envelopes to let the card shine through). A friend of mine is always decorating her envelopes and it's such a treat to see her envelope in the mail. Here is an idea how to decorate your average boring white envys with your favourite sweetpea stamps.

The stamp I have used is one of the stamps from plate 94 by Meredith Dillman. I made the white panel for the address by sticking a rectangular post it, using it as a mask. Then I stamped the image with black ink and dabbed around with some distress ink. I also used a small dabber to add ink to colour the image itself. Finally I used a tan and pink promarker to add shade to the left side of the girl and added some glitter with a clear sakura gelly roll. Isn't this a fabulous way to let the recipient get excited about what's inside?
