Steampunk Bee Elegance

I had so much fun playing with Brigid Ashwood's Steampunk Bee from Plate #105, that I have a couple more to share with you.

For my first card I used Copic markers and went for a monochromatic look on the bee using only grays:

I decided to color the background all yellow because it added a nice contrast to the gray bee. It just happened to pick up the yellow in the paper.

The papers are from Black Tie 6x6 paper pad from Making Memories. I thought it needed something so I went with a black branches/leaves die cut.

It's a rather simple card without a lot of bling or embellishments but I really love how it came out.

My next card also features Brigid Ashwood's Steampunk Bee but colored with watercolors. I wanted to show how these stamps work wonderfully with any coloring medium.

Oops, just noticed that I didn't blend something...... well, it wouldn't be me if there wasn't any goof-ups, right?

So, whatcha waiting for? Head over to Sweet Pea Stamps and get these wonderful, art inspiring stamps and join in the fun!

  4. They both look amazing, Micki. But the first one is really outstanding. I love the monochromatic style with the bee coloured in grey tones. A real eyecatcher. It would look great as a framed artwork on a wall as well. Wow!

  11. Love both of them Micki. The second one looks like a piece of hanging art. Love how you have created a total of 3 of these(counting the one that has posted previously) and did something different on each one.
    Hugs:)
