I think we are all faced with the same dilemma as this cute little fairy at some time in our life. However, I truly believe that it's the inner "beauty" that counts. So for my card today I used Lisa Victoria's "Daphenes Dilema":
I used vellum card stock as my card base as well as gold mirror card stock. The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo dye ink and after die cutting the image panel. I used chalks and distress ink to blend the background and the edges.
The image is colored with copics but I did add a little glitter to the wings with glitter pens and then used glass effect gel on the skirt which I left uncolored.
I couldn't resist to add the "Do you believe" sentiment from Plate #20.
I'll be honest, I couldn't get the card to look right no matter what I tried (heck I couldn't even get this blog post sounding right), in the end I left it as you see it here. Like I told my husband, "some days it just isn't happening" :-).
Daphenes Dilema is available as a single stamp or as part of Plate #49 and if you haven't stopped by the Sweet Pea Stamps store, you need to hop over there and check out all of the awesome sales going on.
I love this Micki! You did that skirt perfectly. The sentiment fits the image just right.
