I just let my fingers pick the colors and for once didn't worry about getting the shading right (because I never do, lo). For the background I also used Copic YR01 then went over it with the Blender pen pushing the colors towards the image.
Unfortunately I cut into the fish and the tail but salvaged the image by adding rhinestones.

I'm not particularly fond of these rhinestone 'strips' because of the glossy panel they come on but it sure is easier on the fingers. I used up some old adhesive backed ribbon and paired this image with one of the sentiments from Simply Vertical, cutting it apart in an attempt to achieve some balance.

Absolutely charming Micki! The "bubbles" of beads are perfect with this image. I have some and never knew quite what to do with them...now I do!

love the bubbles! I don't care for the backing either and usually cut them apart but sometimes they are too beautiful or I am too lazy to do it. the coloring is great!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful and at first glance I thought it was a tattoo. The colors are so vibrant and the background is sorta a fleshtone. Really gorgeous colors.
ReplyDeleteI have this stamped and ready to color! Thanks for the inspiration and I am glad to know that others have blending issues... but you cannot tell from this card that that you have any issues at all!!! this is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS Micki! I love, love, love the rhinestones. The colors you used for the seahorse are perfect.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I love how you have colored this, Micki!! The rhinestone looks like fabulous bubbles! :-)Traci
ReplyDeleteI adore the colors you used!!! I will have to try that! The rhinestones are a delicious touch.
