Collage Plate #18: Celebration Blog Candy

You could win this 3.5" x 5" sheet, to help us celebrate our one year. All you need to do is post in the comment section how you mount your unmounted stamps, using what technique. This is a common question I get daily. I am going to be posting the answers on the website, to remain on the website, to give customer ideas. I will pick one person from the comments on Monday, and they will win this sheet. The winner has until Wednesday, April 21 to contact me.

  1. Hiya all, I use to use just a glue stick to attatch my unmounted stamps to acrylic block and use a thick wad of paper or stamp foam pad to stamp onto. It did work but I didn't like getting sticky washing the glue off as it was a bit time consuming, but ok at a push. I now try to make sure I have some e z mount or cling on to hand if I get unmounted stamps , both work equally well I find and it's alot less messy once you've got your stamps attached and cut out.
If anyone knows anything better or different I'm open to suggestions thanks Julye

  3. I use tackn peel - bought some ages ago and secured it to one acryllic block - that way no need for glue stick.
Could do with a new piece though as it's a bit mucky with glitter now and ink that hasn't come off.
Great stuff though wish the manufacturers would make it a bit thicker so that it cushioned the stamps more. Hmmmmmmm silly me I could apply a double layer.
    Sorry for rambling.

  4. I've got a couple of methods I use - I either use Kling-On, or I use Pritt Stick (or similar) and stamp onto card with a layer or two of Fun Foam underneath. Kling On is more expensive in the short term, but has the advantage of being ready to go next time.

  5. So far if I don't have any ez mount left .. I have been using a strong double sided tape on an arcrylic block, I buy it at Walmart and it is pretty sticky and holds my images well .. it can also be used a few times before it looses it's tackiness....then I stamp on a sheet of thin foam (a package of 10 at the $ store) This seems to be working well for me... my images come out perfectly clear.

  12. Good question. I use a glue stick to attach the unmounted stamp to an acryllic block, I always make sure I was the stamp and block straight away after though ;-)

  13. I use regular ol' double-sided sticky tape (by Scotch usually). Just stick a few pieces to your acrylic block and stamp whatever unmounted stamps you want, then peel off the tape and leave your block ready to use on your cling mounted stamps. Very easy, no mess. *Don't use the double-sided tape that says temporary, it isn't usually stonge enough to hold the larger unmounted stamps to the block!*

  14. Hi, I use EZ-Mount, ok - mounting the rubber is a little bit of work, but it stamps brilliant and I am able to store them in a nice way: stick them on a sheet of paper, which I have laminated before, and sort this in different maps, with the name of the manufacturer on it. So I can find the stamp, that I am searching, verry fast.

  16. I so it the cheap and EZ I have been using double sided carpet tape. It has a bit of cushion and you can get a roll really cheap. When it starts getting old I just peal it off and put some more on!!!

  17. I use EZ mount or a great tip; Tack 'n Peel its a sort of EZ mount but you put it on your Acrylic block and not on the stamps!! So you dont have to buy EZ mount all the time.. just one time; tack and peel.. put it on the block; you can still look through it and it works great!! Hugs Marley

  19. I mount mine by using EZmount. First, I use a pair of sharp scissors to cut the rubber around the stamp to my liking, then I place the stamp on a sheet of EZmount and use my scissors to cut that stamp off the sheet of EZmount, so I'm only dealing with a small piece of it (cause it's sticky). Then I use my hot knife to cut around the image of the stamp because a hot knife will not cut through rubber and you can get a close perfect cut with a hot knife. When I'm done, I just peel the backing of the EZmount and put it on one of my lightweight storage panels from "Sunday International" and then I put the panel in page protector and store it in a binder with all my other ones. I also make a copy of my stamps and stick that inside of the page protector so it's easy to find what stamp is where. This method works like a charm for me!

  22. Nothing terribly elaborate! I just run mono adhesive on the back of the red rubber, stick it down on the acrylic block and remove the sticky stuff after. I don't permanently mount on EZ Mount.

  23. Beautiful stamps. I use EZ Mount, it a little sticky though lol! Take careX:)

  24. I LOVE tack n peel... it is Amazing and effortless!!! That way there is more time for stamping!!!

  25. I use the thinner EZmount. I first cut out my stamps then position them on the EXmount surface. My next step is to take an exacto knife and cut around the stamp on a cutting mat. It comes away clean. Using scissors is just way too sticky, and I have cut my fingers way too many times trying to clean them.
    Hope this helps someone.
    Hugs

  27. I put some tack & peel on a clear acrylic block, and then took the stamps off of the wood blocks. That is my cheap way of going unmounted, since the stamp then clings to the clear block. But I'm using cling foam from Paper Jewels for all stamps that I buy brand new, so they're all unmounted already.
