I'd love to go to Egypt! There is something about that area of the world that draws me in. Maybe that is one reason this 'Egyptian image' is one of my favorites. This image is one of the Ching-Chou kuik designs and is available on Sweet Pea plate #22.
I stamped the image onto white card stock and then painted with Twinkling H2O's. I don't know if this shows very well in the scan of this card, but I applied some gold glitter glue to various areas of her dress and jewelry. After trimming the image into a rectangle I used a decorative corner punch on all 4 corners, and then edged the piece with a gold Krylon pen. I layered this onto a piece of gold embossed decorative card stock. I used a different decorative corner punch on this layer and also edged with gold Krylon pen. I placed the matted image onto a gold card and then threaded white and gold ribbon through a couple of slits I punched at the bottom of the card.
I had some multi-colored backgrounds laying around that I had made some time ago. I stamped the image onto the background with india black ink, cut the piece into a rectangular shape, and edged with a silver krylon pen.
I rummaged through my decorative card stock and found a piece that had colors that coordinated with the background and had a glittery gold embossed corner. Using an exacto knife I cut through part of the embossed corner, slid a corner of the stamped piece into it, and taped the rest of the image to the decorative card stock. Before attaching the matted piece onto the embossed purple card, I tore some blue mulberry paper pieces and attached them behind the matted piece. I edged the purple card with the silver krylon pen to complete the card.
You've gotta have this image!!! Chrissy
