The images and phrases used for these 4 cards are available on Sweet Pea plate #16. They are cheery and upbeat... great for many occasions.
I used an EK Success border punch on the bottom of a bright pink piece of cardstock; then I ran the remaining upper section of that piece through the Cuttlebug with a QuicKutz 'Dots' embossing folder. Before attaching it to the bright blue card I attached a decorative ribbon toward the bottom of the card between the punched and embossed areas of the cardstock. I stamped the cheerleader and the phrase using black India ink, colored both, and then cut them out.. attaching to the front of the card.
I used an EK Success border punch on the top and bottom of the blue card and then attached strips of bright pink cardstock to the inside of the card so that it would show through. I ran a piece of the same bright pink cardstock through the Cuttlebug with the Bubbles embossing folder and attached that to the front of the card, but before I attached that I wrapped a thin light blue ribbon around it and tied in a knot. The energetic cheerleader was stamped, colored, and cut out and attached to the front along with the phrase "You are my champion".
It's likely you know lots of 'champions' deserving of a card like this.
Whether you know a football player or an 'All Star' Kid these images from plate #16 fit the bill.
I ran some yellow, blue, and green cardstock through the Cuttlebug with the star embossing folder. I cut a piece of the yellow embossed paper on the diagonal, but before attaching to the front of the blue card, I attached the star decorative ribbon on the right and bottom edges of the card. I stamped the image and the words with black India ink and then colored and cut out the football player and cut out the words. I mounted the words onto a small piece of yellow card and then trimmed to create a small border. After attaching those 2 pieces to the card front I cut stars from the blue, green, and yellow embossed pieces and attached them in the corners and in the middle of the card.
Here's another card with the 'star' theme. The football star was colored, cut, and then mounted onto a piece of yellow cardstock that was trimmed with a decorative edge scissors. I ran a piece of green cardstock and another smaller piece of yellow cardstock through the Cuttlebug using this star embossing plate. The mounted image was attached to the green embossed piece and then onto yellow card. I cut 4 of the stars from the embossed yellow piece and attached them into the 4 corners of the card. "All star kid" was stamped onto yellow card stock and cut out with decorative edge scissors and mounted onto the upper right corner after shading was added with colored pencils. The same ribbon used in the card above was used again on this card across the bottom edge.
Have any 'All Stars' in your family??? Make them feel special with these images!
